CoCal, a Denver-based landscaping company, hires dozens of temporary workers from Mexico each year because it can’t find enough Americans to take the jobs.

So Mexicans come north to work, Americans and Canadians, move to Mexico to retire.

My Mexican parents would make me work in the fields as a child, picking onions, asparagus, cucumbers, apples, strawberries, and the worst one as a child was Jalapeños. Talk about burning your eyes! That taught me three important life lessons. The value of a dollar, humility and most importantly how to work my ass off. Now I live debt free and have more in the bank than ever before, I just bought my mom a Mercedes for Christmas. I thank God for all He’s given me.

All the Americans who are saying “mexicans are stealing jobs” are just making excuses for being lazy.

Why is everyone talking about illegal immigration, these people are neither illegal nor immigrants, they're on a temporary work visa.

Good luck to you Mexican brothers... I hope you’ll find a better life for your family.

I had a Mexican show up at my door asking if he could mow my lawn. He did not have a mower and so I let him use mine. He was wearing dress shoes so I gave him an old pair of my work boots and some gloves. He now has a landscape company. I gave him a trailer and introduced him to some of my neighbors so he could get some business. Very thankful, very hard working. He had just arrived two days before from Mexico when I met him.
  • I’m not even religious but... god bless these people... the dedication and hard work is very inspiring. We all just want to live life and be happy.. illegal or not, these are our world’s citizens. Be respectful.

Even though I speak very little Spanish, I will always hire them. As a whole, the best people I have ever worked with. Very hard working and dedicated to their families back home. I love the Mexican people. When I hear Americans disparage them, I always ask "when's the last time you saw a homeless Mexican?"

What’s terrible about this whole situation is that Mexico is so rich with natural resources and manpower. Mexicans work hard and understand family values. Yet, the country’s full potentials have been brutally suppressed by a tiny minority of rich and ultra corrupted ruling class in Mexico City. They have deliberately kept their own people poor and oppressed, in order to maintain control. The US or El Norte is used as a safety valve to keep those at the bottom rung of society from revolting, like they did in the 19th century. Moreover, by encouraging the disenfranchised people to go north, work hard and send money back home to their families, the ruling class can avoid the responsibility of providing an economic well-being and a safety net for their poorest citizens. If the US succeeds in closing its southern border, perhaps that will be a blessing in disguise for Mexico; because the poor and disenfranchised will have to face their oppressors and demand changes. Mexico has the potential to be a powerful nation if the people decide to drain the swarm of Mexico City and make it a better place. Mexican brothers, why sneak across the border to someone else’s country and forgo your human dignity to get taken advantage of by cheap Gringos, all the while despised by them, just so you can prop up a system that is keeping you down? You, the children of great men, such as Pancho Villa, should make Mexico great again by demanding for changes. Mexico has all the great potential to be an equal to the US, only if you clean house of the leeches and start again. I’m sorry that I cannot write this in Spanish so more of you can see my pleads to you to take actions for the future of your children.

If a man who goes through hell to cross a border with 120° temperatures, no water, no food, and walk miles and miles, does not speak English or have any experience doing any work in the United States is taking your jobs? That’s just sad. Not that they’re taking your jobs but that they’re better at it. Love all people🇺🇸🇺🇸🇲🇽🇲🇽

My Mexican parents made me work when I was in 6th grade I’m currently in 9th grade still working with them during thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Easter, and summer so my siblings can be able to buy the shoes and clothes they want. It’s not the best for me cause my back always hurts but it’s worth it because I get to put food on the table for people. My parents always tell me once I go to college and I need money for books I can work in the fields so I can pay for them I’m thankful they told me that because if I’m not accepted in any jobs at least I know I can work in the fields. This Christmas is the first time my parents get presents from me and my siblings we all saved money so my mom can get a new tv and my dad can get a new car (my sisters boyfriend is gonna help fill out the papers for the car)

Mexicans are the best labourers I know. I worked in a Salmon facility in AK for 4 seasons. My regular shift was 16hrs daily. As a supervisor, I needed people for an additional shift. It would be the Mexicans volunteering for the extra 4hrs for clean up, making it a total of 20hrs for them, 7 days a week for 3 months. They never complained of fatigue and still found it possible to laugh and be in high spirits. My girlfriend now is a Mexican:)

And here I am, in my air conditioned car and house, while looking outside and seeing how hard these people work out in the summer heat. And we know how hot summers can get, especially in CA and other States. YET, THESE GUYS PULL THROUGH AND WORK THEIR BUTTS OFF TO LIVE AND PROVIDE THEIR FAMILIES. Thanks to them.
  • @Kitkat-wf2pu

I am a proud American! Raised in Atlanta, Ga. My parents are from a proud southern heritage as well. They farmed hogs in Cumming, Ga. My entire life has been lived in the Southeastern United States. And here's what I will say...After 45 years on this planet, I've learned to ALWAYS see a man (or woman) for the merits they bring to the table. Some of the hardest working people I have ever met in my life were Mexicans. Some of the kindest people I have ever met in my life were African American. White, Black, Brown or Yellow, we all have the potential to be great HUMAN BEINGS! One of my best friends as a child was from Durango, Mexico. As a result, I was exposed to his culture over the years. I learned to appreciate our differences and understand our similarities. We all need to get past societal misconceptions and understand that we are stuck on this 3rd rock from the sun together! I have great respect for all of my fellow citizens of the world! But it is incumbent upon us ALL to carry the load. Don't ever feel entitled because of your heritage! You are owed NOTHING due to your race, sex, religious orientation, etc. The merit of a man (or woman) is in his/her ability to rise to the occasion and put forth the effort to become a successful individual for the benefit of all mankind. God bless us all.
