  • When you win only win 14 games . The previous season you have to improve either defensively or in three point shooting. And the biggest upside is holland is only 18 so he can impact the pistons on defense immediately and devolep and improve his three over the next couple of seasons. Realistically if if they took dalton knnecht . That would have barely moved the needle either . So they choose long term development

The Pistons need everything. This guy has potential in a draft that really isnt great. People are acting like 3 and D guys are just readily available.

A 6'8'" wing who can't shoot & his team won 2 games last year -- should fit right in
  • Dude is 18 and averaged 19.7ppg and shot 44 percent over all ya his 3pt was 24 percent but at 18yo in the g league and scoring like that he is no bust he was a top recruit can score at The rim and hit close-up jumpers yes his mid shots only 30% makes but he is 18 going against grown men and scoring almost 20 a night with good defense and can get some boards and assists don't forget when lamelo played pro ball in Europe he averaged 17.7ppg /rebounds 7 assists 7 but shot 35% I'm not saying he's like lamelo ball im just saying watch his highlights and give this man a chance

The Pistons absolutely cannot draft! Another pick that will result in nothing, I’m so done with these fools bro. I luv my pistons but this pick was absolutely ridiculous!
  • @itztokeyo
Everyone in the comments are mad about it, the kids 18. No matter who we took, its not like the needles gonna move. Lets go with long term development. He could end up being an all star.

Detroit collecting all these Athletic Slashers. Going to be fun to watch in the future
  • Pistons big ego new gm drafts the same guy as weaver did last season i bet fontecchio will love this rotation, absolutley no patience in detroits ownership or fanbase, so good luck with it.
  • @wolves1901
GUYS THE PISTONS CANT’ SHOOT ! Under 30% on all shots ! Come on guys. Man I hope he hits but come on we need shooting !
  • @flaming3652
I don't know about this brother everything they said about him was the same thing said about Thompson last year.

If you look at the Pistons roster, he will be a depth guy with a high ceiling... The Pistons are ridiculously young, and if some of these hit, they will take a leap in this league
  • We were a 14 win team last season so whoever or whatever we pick in this draft class doesn't matter. I'm glad we picked Ron Holland because even if his jump shot doesn't develop in the future he can still be a solid defender like Jared Vanderbilt. Matas is good and probably the best prospect in this class after Topic got injured but he's the biggest boom or bust in this class which will be worthwile but if it works out but can never be a trade asset when he started busting. What I don't like about this Ron Holland pick though is if we get Cooper Flagg next year, we still don't have shooters that can Cade pass to when he does a pnr. I really wanted Topic and Knecht tbh but Ron Holland is my 3rd choice and Cody Williams being fourth because I don't see Sarr, ZR, Shep and Castle dropping to 5th. Please for the love of basketball gods...give us at minimum a top 4 pick next yr. No more 5th picks please. 😭

The Pistons will always be the Pistons. Hahahah. Why this guy? Why not trade down if you’re just picking this guy.
