I honestly think this may be the greatest Red Hot Chili Peppers song of all time. Obviously they have plenty of other insanely good songs, but there's just something special about Scar Tissue. The lyrics, the guitar solos (especially the last one), the meaning behind this song (knowing everything the band went through right before this time). It's beautiful.

As a kid growing up looking up to my brother while he rolled his joints vibing by his side with a big smile on my face knowing how much I love looking up to him now every single year on his birthday I roll a joint and I know his smiling next to me from above . Playing this song next to his tombstone bring so much happiness to me this song will forever be my peace in mind . I made it over 22 brother just as you wished

This song reminds me of my cousin, he passed away almost 13 years ago. He used to put it on MTV when I was a kid. It makes me nostalgic and a little sad. Greetings from Mexico.

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you 💕🎉

This song reminds me of when I was a child, sitting in the back of my dad’s car as he drove and played this in the CD player. I remember looking out the window, it was a summer evening and the golden light was beginning to filter through the delicate light blue of the sky. So whenever I hear this song, I can always picture it in my head and get that magical nostalgic feeling.

The synergy between the vocal performance and instrumental arrangement is truly remarkable.
