An internal HDMI would complete this project
  • @WeskMods
It was a pleasure working with you Tito!, I'm looking forward to future projects. 😎
  • I know he recommended the clear case, and it's quite nice indeed, but the PS2's original black color is much better, not to mention it instantly shows that it's a PS2 and blends in perfectly when placed side by side with the other models.
  • @BENSTER489
Right before anyone attempts this this is ONLY COMPATIBLE with the 79001 motherboards, the 79003 motherboards are NOT compatible whatsoever
  • Not gonna lie, the part where the board was cut was pretty nerve-wracking 😱😬 That looks like it'd be VERY easy to mess up somewhere
  • @millomaker
The clear shell for this mod is so beautiful ! Love it 😍
  • Another con would be it only being able to use 79000+ versions. There are less of them out there than older models and not all of us want to go around finding them and cut them apart, however minor. If Wesk is reading these review he should try and make a version that uses older model slims. Even if they would be a bit bigger.

Imagine what the world would of thought if SONY released a Digital Only version of the PS2 in the early 2000s
  • @kyx5631
The production value on these videos is amazing. Great job. That said, I have never seen a micro SD slot being "built" this way. This was some Frankenstein stuff.
  • @Mirauge
Im really not sure how your channel isnt bigger. Really quality videos sense ive found you. Thanks for sharing man
  • @PowercellZeke
This looks so awesome! Really feels like bringing the PS2 into the modern era, especially with the wireless controller. I eagerly await the day when playing games digitally like this has 100% compatibility. Great video :3
  • @seguramlk
That's an awesome project, Macho. Great video. But when you cut that part of the PCB off, my heart felt that 🥲
  • @ModzvilleUSA
This is insanely cool! I know I have a ton of 79ks floating around here somewhere as they're as difficult to modchip as the 90ks without the benifit of the internal PSU. Totally going to add this to the every increasing to do list :D GREAT WORK!
  • @LukeEdwards67
I’m pleasantly surprised to see this. I’ve been watching Wesk’s thread for some time now, and printed myself a shell about a month ago. It’s great! Currently figuring out how to fit my HDMI adapter in there, and I wired in an ESP32 for Bluetooth controllers too. He does great work over at BitBuilt.
  • @Ronin7477
Great video Tito. You once again knocked it out of the park with this one. While not the most technical you have done, it is the first of it's kind and you still format and explain everything in such a way anyone can do this with ease. Most of what I have learned has been by you, Retro Future, and Mr. Mario. I to would like to see this with an internal HDMI mod. A way to retain that second USB port would be nice to.
  • @ratykat
It's so good to see that intro again, welcome back Tito! Absolutely love this mod, I reckon a couple of blue LEDs to make the case glow would be peak 00's!
  • It looks so cool, I love the crystal clear shell! The internal SD card slot is really smart. I'd be incredibly nervous about cutting the motherboard.
  • @kazinwho
Love it. Really enjoying the mods we're seeing to this generation of systems - long overdue. Hoping for a straight up PS2 ODE someday...!
  • @pik6620
Great video dude, love the clean camera work and editing. The build turned out super nice with the transparent case! Looking forward to that ashida build
  • Thanks Tito for sharing this awesome ps2 setup. It's pretty awesome, I love the clear case and internal adapter. It's a well thought out setup.
