This song made me emotional as a child, but as a young adult in college.... OOF. An absolute emotional wreck!
-
as a senior in high school I don’t think i’ve ever cried more to a song! I love how her song writing can capture so many emotions💜
-
I never thought as a 44 year old man I would be bawling at a song. Now Taylor has done it twice. This song and "Marjorie" leave me crying like a baby every time. 😭😭😭😭😭
-
“I just realized all I have is someday gonna be gone.” That hit hard😭
-
"take pictures in your mind of your childhood room" I LITERALLY FEEL LIKE IM TAKEN BACK IN TIME TO MY CHILDHOOD ROOM SINGING AND DANCING TO HER SONGS
-
THIS SONG NEVER FAILS TO MAKE ME CRY!!! TAYLOR HAS GROWN UP AND THIS SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER!
-
i used to cry my eyes out listening to this song as a teen, thinking i couldn’t wait to sing it to my future baby. currently 31, holding my 6 week old, crying still 😩🥰

A single dad of a 3y/o and a 1 y/o, this hits right in the feels
-
Hit’s different when you’re actually experiencing adulthood now and everything is just not the same anymore
-
Wow hearing an adult rather than a “child” sing this feels so different and made me a lot more emotional. I love you Taylor. Thanks for all you have given us!

New Swiftie here... I am moving to a big city today for my first job, and I will be moving into my first apartment today. Decided to play Speak Now TV as I was packing and heard this song for the first time. I don't know what to call it, fate, or the universe sending me a message, but while this made me extremely emotional, it felt like and elder sister sharing how she has been through the same things I am going through right now. If she can do it, so can I! Thank you, Taylor. I did not know I needed this.

My son is about to be born in a week and every time I hear this song it makes me cry. He's not here yet but I already don't want him to grow up 😢
-
My sister used this song for my 8th birthday, and now we'll be able to use this version for my 18th birthday. It's perfect. 💜

It was summer of 2011, my siblings and I were playing cards and talking casually, while randomly listening to Taylor’s song. Then, this song played out and towards the end it we were all quiet, when the song ended we looked into each other’s eyes and smiled and knew we all felt something. From that moment on, this song held a special place in my heart. Now, 12 years later, this hits different because we are now all grown-ups.
-
I was 15 when this came out. Now I'm 28, expecting my first child. I can't wait to hold them and play this song. 🥺❤
-
My son turned 18 yesterday, his mom sent me a video with him in this song with pictures of him in it… as a father it’s surreal to see your child grow up.. I’m a tuff man but this song hit hard.😢
-
As a 25 year old. This song hit me hard as a teenager but now…. I’m SOBBING! You never truly appreciate being little until it’s gone… 😭
-
Even though she's grown up, this song is still as innocent and carefree as the way she re-recorded it. Love you Taylor 💜

My Dad passed away 5 days ago. I'll turn 43 in 2 days when we bury him. This song has always resonated with me, but does much more now and will always hold a special place in my heart.

This was very emotional for me. I used to tell my kids to stay little forever and they would laugh at me. Now, my daughter is transferring from community college to university and my son just joined the Marines. This song has me in tears. Love it so much.
