girl. i LOVE your energy. it's addicting, haha! seriously though, your videos are just 💕 first off, thank you so much for starting this video with things you were grateful for in 2020. i think it's pretty fair to say last year will probably go down in a lot of folks’ memory as nothing more than The Cursed Year – and, i mean... it was pretty cursed – but i’m not a fan of this “delete 2020, it didn’t exist” attitude either. it kind of pushes forward this notion that a great amount of suffering automatically cancels out the possibility of good things happening at the same time/coming out of it. like. life is more complex than that, ya know? we can be in an incredible amount of pain and be happy/find joy in things at the same time. one doesn’t need to end for the other to begin; it’s just life. for me, 2020 was both horrifically devastating and really wonderful. i try my best to recognize all of it, the whole experience, the painful and the joyous and the meh inbetween, and make something out of it. i dunno, “deleting” 2020 would be doing such a disservice to ourselves imo, even if it were an all-bad, all-painful, zero-good-things year. an experience being painful does not rob it of its value; all experiences have worth. wow! just realized how long this is getting. sorry for the rant, lol. it was just really refreshing to hear someone talk this way, reflect on the positive things that happened to them last year and consciously give them a place, too. got me all passionate! haha 😄 i still haven’t set any goals for myself this year, but i think imma join you on that reading goal, too! jeez, it’s been so long since i read something that wasn’t nonfiction 😅 gonna make it happen this year! even if it’s four nonfiction ones and only one fiction - if i can really lose myself in it, it’ll be SO WORTH IT 🥰

Ok but did you also have a phase in your young teens where you were obsessed with reading Jaqueline Wilson books??? Like, I look back at them now and the plots where so depressing, but I loved them so much 😂
