Well, if you want to know more about this character, here's some info: His name is Yourself and he is not an exe. He's a Boyfriend from another universe, where Herself(Girlfriend from his universe) died in some unknown accident and whose spirit is now trapped in his microphone, though Yourself isn't aware of this. The lyrics, supposedly, aren't meant to Boyfriend, but to Herself(Who makes a brief appearance around Yourself in a split second while he sings) and also Divide, who not only worked in the Vs Sonic.exe mod but is also the creator of Yourself. Unfortunately he passed away during the development of the Sonic.exe mod and this whole thing was created to honor him.

This song is referencing an alternate version of boyfriend whos version of girlfriend died to an entity, but that's not all, some of the lyrics like "stay awake long enough to see my way" is sadly referencing the a sonic.exe modder (Divide) who tragically died too what people are saying is "cancer" but all we know is that he said he had a stomach ache and a few days later he's friends got news of his passing. Some people found his sketches of this alternate boyfriend and made this song in tribute, (stay awake long enough to see) what's become of what you've made kind a thing. Found this out today and I'm really sad.

That version of BF is actually A BF from a universe where girlfriend died in a super tragic accident and BF couldn't handle to trauma of the incident so he stopped caring for both his body and his clothes and his mind. To the point where he started trying to seek validation. By going to another universe where he then finds this bf who has his girlfriend still. Wanting validation to exist from them both. Wanting to feel whole by being accepted by any form of girlfriend and himself.
