Confused? I am take this dont take that..eat this dont that..hell with it.
  • @WendySimonson
Why are you recommending a product with magnesium source Magnesium Oxide, which is the cheapest, least bio-available magnesium. It seems based on the cost of this product, I’d like to see a better magnesium source like glycinate. Can you respond? What am I missing here?
  • @Ccwuhccwuh
I have been taking Protect +5. Are you suggesting I should switch to AlgaeCal Plus and AlgaeCal D3. I am still unclear as to which ones to take.
  • @pamelag.00
Thank you as always. My head is spinning a bit. My family each has different health issues getting a wide range of information, But this is MY issue & I’ve been helped so much by you.
  • @lindahager606
This is the direction that I've been going after I read the book User's Guide to Calcium and Magnesium. I noted her concern about the interferences to magnesium which were too much D3, calcium, sugar and various forms of sugar, caffeine, and floride. I cut back in these areas and I use a rebounder plus OsteoStrong. I'm thankful for your research and people in the know who help us grandmas keep going!
  • @wocket42
Interesting. My first conclusion would be to also get enough vitamin A if on high D supplements. Preferably from actual (animal based) food, not from a supplement. Magnesium as well, but that was already widely known.
  • @celeste514
Thank you for all the detailed analysis. I appreciate this information.
  • @lynnmcgaha141
Dr. Barrie Tan, the foremost researcher on the tocotrienol form of Vitamin E, says tocopherols interfere with tocotrienols. So tocotrienols should not be taken with tocopherols. So not mixed in the same supplement.
  • @dotjeff4543
Instead of less vitamin D, maybe we need more of the nutrients that support it (i.e. magnesium, vitamin A, etc.). Optimal levels of vitamin D are essential for immune health (learn from the last pandemic). RDAs for vitamin D are haven’t changed much in 100 years when all they knew was that a certain amount kept kids from getting rickets. Vitamin D is essential for so many other functions including balanced immune function.
  • @CatCarina
For those of us who can't get the Algaecal etc (because we're not in the USA) can you tell us the amounts and forms of the vitamins, especially D, so that we can source our own supplements? Thanks for all your help!
  • What are your thoughts on a daily multivitamin in conjunction with the AlgaeCal bone building duo?
  • @kmtx78
I was on Algae Cal but with my dysphagia I was opening them, but still too gritty for me to get down. I was doing Naturelo and like it, but just switched to Life Extension Bone Strength Collagen Formula with KoAct. I would love to do Algae Cal but couldn't seem to make it work. Also, have heard mixed things on strontium and not sure what to believe. But I try to get in using my Celtic salt.
  • @BBurns-vg9om
Very interesting. I am high on vitamin D3. 92.7. But,Ive stopped it now for a short time.Where can we buy the Calcium from you have on your screen.❤
  • @almond1739
Thank you for all you do, extremely helpful. Could you please comment on cod liver oil?
  • @wocket42
Great that you mention all 8 forms of vitamin E. Although the science seems to be somewhat inconclusive on how much we need from each one. The main researchers also seem to have vested interests/patents on supplements. However, if you are a scientist and think you found a "cure" of some sort, you would also try to make it commercially available in a proper form.
  • @Savannah-ed4rv
Very interesting insights! Now I think I understand why I have not been able to take vitamin D the last 5 years without it causing an A-fib episode. Since it lowers magnesium and magnesium affects heart rhythm, it must be playing a role. My question is are you able to help me figure out why I can't tolerate any supplements for my bones. Calcium does the same thing to my heart and I am not able to take oral magnesium in any form four topical without it causing GI problems. That's just one of my many issues with supplements😢
  • Dr. Lucas - I'm finishing up on my protect 5 supplements. I'm a Male. What is your recommended dosage per day in how many capsules I should take with the AlgaeCal Plus if I'm taking 1 capsule of the AlgaeCal D3 Complete? Should I also include the AlgeaCal Strontium Boost from Algae Cal?
