This is worse than Matthew I am glad I was in hurricane Mathew than this, prayers to all the people stuck in this storm ⛈.

We here in Atlantic City New Jersey USA are keeping everyone in Texas in our thoughts and prayers. Hoping that everyone is safe We have been very lucky that a hurricane of this magnitude has not hit us in a long time. Hurricane Sandy was bad but we didn't get the wind speeds. I feel for these people. I live in florida and we were on watch for that hurricane last year here in central florida. Luckily it disappated. My heart goes out to those families and people whos houses cant withstand something like this.

I remember rita vividly, people were dying in their cars from heat stroke because they were stuck on the roads. Thank God my parents decided to hunker down for that one

These people have to rebuild with Miami-Dade County in mind...We went through total destruction in south Dade with Andrew in 1992...2×4s behind each panel on your garage doors (built in). A roof with threaded nails every 4 inches with quarter size disc. Extra trusses in roof. PGT windows and doors with accordion metal shutters that lock over all. We have a couple with inside locks for escape route.2 weeks worth of supplies bought every June.After Andrew I will never think this could never happen again!!

Rockport got it the worst. Right in the eye of the hurricane. When i went back 2 days later it was heavy.... could barely keep myself together

I went to Texas for 3 days helping and rescuing people. My buddies lost his boat under i-10. It was ruff but we enjoyed helping people. We where launching our boats off I-10 in Houston and in orange Texas.
