  • I've met people from Turkey in several countries, they're very elegant, well spoken, fine manners and very cool folks to talk too, great intelectual and puntual. Greetings from Colombia.

I have an Aunt from Turkey. The love and attention she shows to us as visiting family and the elegance in the way she does things says so much about the culture she grew up in. Respect.
  • This series is a great idea, and I especially appreciate that you point out "living like a king" isn't about gaudiness, showing off excessive wealth, or being the loudest or most annoying person in the room. Your representation of both Istanbul and Bogata will prove to be advantageous to both cities, I think, as well as to those seeking out the places where they will be treated best. Well done.

We stayed in the old city about 2 blocks from the Hagia Sophia and it was one of the best experiences that I've ever had. As an Australian staying in a Muslim country (that we tried to invade) we were a bit apprehensible at first, but the locals loved us. Such wonderful people who gave us lifelong memories of which we are forever grateful for the hospitality that they offered us. I can't wait to get back there for ANZAC Day in the next few years with the wife and kids when they get a bit older. We originally stayed for 9 days but I'll make sure we stay longer next time. So much to do. So much history to admire. Awesome place. Awesome people.

“Turkey is a service culture” - perfectly said. Never had a bad experience in Istanbul with service.
  • I will never stop falling in love with Istanbul! Insanely beautiful city that vigorously attacks all of your senses.

We lived there for year a little while back, and we would have stayed on if they had agreed to renew my visa... Turkey, its people and its cats, is truly and incredible country!!! What a fabulous experience. Priceless. We stayed in the Nişantaşı neighborhood for about a month before moving to Kurtuluş...Our first meal was at the very House Cafe you were meeting Erkan Yilidirim. 😊 We still miss it and its people so much from time to time, like right now while watching this video😅, but we are so grateful to have had this superb opportunity... What a gift!!! ☀

Love the vibe of the video. Turkey was the first country I traveled to, and I was immediately amazed by Istanbul's stunning views, delicious food, and affordable prices.
  • Love Andrew even more seeing him interact with other people in these Anthony Bourdain esque interviews. Y’all should do more like this, he’s a charismatic and respectable guy

One of the best cities and country in the world! I was blown away by Instanbul when I visited. Even crazier than NYC so much diversity and busy streets loved it. And the food is ridiculously delicious
  • I was in Istanbul a couple years ago, investigating the city and Turkey in general. My main impression was: the city was hugely underappreciated, it was huge, it had an abundance of goods and services (some people praised the local healthcare for being decent and affordable, among things that I experienced for myself), it still had great potential, it was rather safe, it was international, yet real estate there was more than affordable. Since then, they had a surge of inflation, and their currency depreciated quite a bit. Yet, I still hold to my view: it was way underappreciated back then, and it still is now. On a whole range of parameters, Turkey is doing so much better than many, many other countries with more expensive real estate and more stable currencies. If its government doesn't run the country into the ground, I believe it has potential to really shine in the future. And, yes, it is a bit of a consumer heaven.

Nice one Andrew. I have been a Turkish expat for over 20 years working in and visiting many countries. I have came back with my family to Turkey after 15 years, now very recently recently left again. Cannot live without Turkey, Istanbul, the Aegean. The colour of life is there.
  • I traveled for 7 months through India, Nepal, Turkey, Greece, Albania, other parts of the Balkans. Learned a lot and found it's a lot of places talked about on this channel. Spent a lot of time on this street

Turkish food is amazing, the people are great too. Such an underrated countr, I'm pretty picky on where I would want to live, but Turkey has the perfect blend of Middle Eastern with European that seems to take the best of both worlds
  • @bubbletwinsmom
I'm married to a Turk and I love the country, people, food, amazing, by the way I'm from Colombia.. :)
  • @victoryever
I feel so blessed to be born and raised in Istanbul. I have visited many countries in the world. There are many nice places in those countries, too. However, Istanbul is different. You get mesmerized by its beauty and everythingelse it offers.

I'm a big time cat lover and their culture cherishes cats. They all feed the cats and rather than home them as pets, they're treated as if they're community pets. I've seen many videos on this topic.
