New Horizons' release was probably the best timed release ever. COVID had just started, and we already needed an escape. Enter Animal Crossing.
  • @kavon818
byleth's reveal trailer came after the announcement of the second fighter's pass, it was just a disappointment
  • @joopvanhedel1372
Using Nintendo Breath of the Wild as a launch title and not Mario Odyssey was one of the best choices they ever made. Breath of the Wild was the game that showed people that we can finally play home console games on a handheld

Banjo-Kazooie in smash = God Tier Trailer.

15:23 Um, no. Fighter's Pass 2 was announced during the Terry Bogard reveal, so we had already known it was coming for some time before Byleth was revealed. I get that this info is nearly 5 years old, but if you're gonna factor it into what you consider the "worst trailer", then I think it would be best to double check the info.
  • You didn't mention how the pre-rendered anime style cutscene at the beginning of the byleth trailer is literally ripped straight from fe3h
  • @DudeNinja29
Sword and Shield trailer theme is the dynamax theme I think
  • @DSmaster8585
Everyone is Here is my #1 trailer of all time! The only thing that can beat it would be Everyone is here 2 for the next Smash (A man can dream😂)

Bad game trailers sometimes lead to poor sales. Just saying.

Not playing Mario 35 because it would shutdown soon and saying the trailer is bad because of a few words is kinda dumb. The game was freaking awesome too.
  • Shoutout to the octo expansion trailer. Got me to buy splatoon 2, without any prior investment in the series
  • @Roctendo
You said it wasn’t based on what the game is actually like, but all your criticism towards battle league was about content the game didn’t have. Even though that game sucked, the trailer was still fine as it was still true to the game

14:15 You do realize they already announced more fighters were coming during this time and honestly, considering how good the first fighters pass was up until then, the hate was really blown out of proportion.

I wish I could still play super mario 35. It was legitimately fun
  • The best trailer is the ff pixel remasters, 2nd is the xenoblade 3 reveal, 3rd best is the xenoblade definitive edition, 4th best is the xenoblade 2 trailer

This was a VERY solid lineup of picks here. Both of BOTW & Mario Odyssey's main trailers are some of the most jaw dropping ones I've watched. I still go back to them sometimes... and I literally own the games. Though I can't fully agree on Metroid Prime 4's placement. Now in hindsight. Yes, us only having a makeshift logo that clearly is not going to be final... after SO many years of no news... makes the trailer god awful. Easily the most empty reveal ever. But when you factor in the actual reveal in the moment, just the mere fact that Metroid Prime 4 was confirmed to exist was a BIG deal. It was one of those things that really solidified Nintendo being back. Focusing more on core experiences, than all the goofy advertising and marketing they did during the entire Wii U Era. But again, I understand its placement. It barely counts as a trailer, or even a reveal. Maybe they should've at least given us some kind of cinematic... But I understand why they don't always do that. As it could easily come off as false advertising. Especially in this game's case, where its probably totally different from how it was initially planned by now.

The tears of the kingdom trailers were peak and always will be
