Hamas' new leader indicates it wants to 'double down' on 'violence as the answer'

Hamas has named the man behind the October 7 attacks, Yahya Sinwar as their new leader following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.
“It surprises me that Hamas really wants to double down on violence as the answer,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“But then it's in their charter that they want to exterminate Israelis and the state of Israel.
“So, I suppose it’s not that surprising.
“I think it sends a signal that there is going to be no negotiation anytime soon.”
