Betty White's Love For Animals Is Undeniable In Throwback Video

Published 2022-01-04
Betty White may have been TV's golden girl, but it was her work off camera that made an even bigger impact. The legendary actress, who passed away peacefully in her home on December 31st, was an animal lover and welfare advocate whose life work also reflected her committed to giving back. Access Hollywood visited the Los Angeles Zoo with Betty in 2006 and we're taking a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot where she got hands-on with the giraffes and sea lions.

Saw Betty manning the table at a SPCA LA adoption event on a weekend afternoon at a grocery store over 20 years ago. She really gave her time to animals! RIP❤

I think her work to save animals was admirable. However, I am certain she left most of her $75 million net worth to her foundation and other animal charities. They don't need my money. I will continue to donate to charities that help hungry, abused, and sick children and the elderly poor. I think Ms. White would understand. She had the right to leave her money to whoever she wanted to. I have that same right.
