🦀Bank Crabbing🦀

Published 2022-08-31
We thought we’d try our luck throwing a few crab pots from the bank at a new location. It’s always a fun activity for young and old to get amongst the mud and mangroves.
In Queensland mud crabs have a size limit of 15cm. They are measured across the top of the carapace at the widest section from spike to spike. Only the male crabs are able to be harvested.
Being in the North Queensland region, we are always alert and croc 🐊 wise.

  • I was going to ask if you could swim there untill you mentioned croc slides 😂😂 That would be a no swimming zone for sure. How long do you leave the traps soaking? Great video.
