Long term the biggest issue is quarterback. This team will never suck enough to pick a QB in the top 5 without trading up to do it. Omar has to be thinking about how to get a franchise quarterback. Russ won’t last long enough even if he is here for 3 years. Justin Fields is a wildcard. It would be awesome if he could be a franchise QB but right now that’s not evident. They have to think that one option is to be able to move up to the top of the draft in the next year or 2. We will see.

How do you figure Daniels is better than Dotson? Based on what? PFF had Dotson as the 2nd best guard in football. Daniels was 33. I'm not a huge PFF guy, but they aren't going to be that far off. Daniels might get paid, just have someone else do it. No way should the Steelers dive into the $15 mil a year for him.

If Russ and Justin look good pay Russ 30 mill for two years and Justin 20 mill for two years Russ will get kid ring this year and maybe 2nd next year then should be willing to retire and Justin’s should learn enough to be next franchise qb and get better bag 30 mill in his 3rd year

ALAN BETTER BE WRONG ABOUT CAM….I would bet money we don’t…and should not re sign him…unless he proves he has another year or two left…we sign him AFTER this season to a 1-2 year deal…at a much lower price tag than he wants currently! All that, IF he play well and is healthy this year being insanely overpaid this year.
