The wars between Morgoth and the Elves and the War of Wrath took place in Beleriand not Middle Earth Her brother his chilling in Aman right now with their dad and mom Galadriel will be Elrond’s Mother-in-Law * Feanor in the process of being born consumed too much of her “spirit” to the point where living was too much of a weariness and her spirit willingly left her body to reside in the Halls of Mandos. Interestingly her body is still their tended to by the handmaidens of the Valar Lorien so it would not wither. Ironically the only reason the rest of the descendants of Finwe exist is because Miriel refused to be re-bodied and Finwe was then granted a special dispensation by the Valar themselves to remarry.

Honestly nowadays there's more entertainment in watching passionate nerds like Shad destroy these incompetent screwups than in what the big studios produce.

When it comes to a philosophical discussion about why rocks sink and other things float, I think The Holy Grail by Monty Python did a much better job. That must be why Galadriel folded the parchment into a duck. Because ducks float on water.

The symbolism of a black elf overlording over a white village for the sins of their ancestors is a bit heavy handed isn't it.

Galadriel aimlessly marches through the lands with her company, she doesn't know when to stop, she thinks she will defeat Sauron with eight companions. And she doesn't even care for their lives. When they fight a troll, she waits until they all die and then enters the fight. She doesn't share anything with Galadriel from the books, except for the name.

I loved how Princess Disa whispered in her husband's ear "I'm the first female dwarf on screen". To which he replied "Huh, sorry honey but there were about 6-7 female dwarfs seen before your character was first seen on screen". That was priceless! She's not even the first female dwarf on screen in her own series.

Galadriel, daughter of High Prince Finarfin, granddaughter of Noldorin High King Finwe and Telerin High king Olwe, was bullied? Not even the fiery hearted sons of Feanor would be foolish enough to commit such idiocy in their youth. No one in Valinor, under the guidance and gaze of Manwe, who hears all, Varda, who sees all, and Mandos, who judges all, would be so foolish...

No matter what the showrunners try to tell us now, we know that Bezos wanted his own GoT. The goal was never to adapt Tolkien but to make a fantasy series that would appeal to the widest audience possible and so Tolkien was just an excuse to reach an already large fanbase. Of course, not matter the reason you think the show is bad, be it the compressed timeline or the altering of characters' stories, they will come after you and claim you're a transphobic, racist misogynist. Because anyone who is not willing to sit down, shut up and just consume without a second thought is not wanted.

And yet, and yet, there are 'viewer' reviews on Rotten Tomatoes giving it a 10/10 and calling it magnificent. A cynical person might suspect that they are false.

Another thing with calling Elrond an orc, THE ORCS WERE ELVES CORRUPTED BY MORGOTH!! HOLY CRAP!! It's EVEN WORSE when you think about it. My word.

The reason they used the word "resist" even though it doesn't make sense in the opening is to echo the language used in the PJ opening "but there were some who resisted." Same with "Sauron found him first" and Gandalf referring to Gollum "but the enemy found him first." They do this quite often in the two episodes. The lines don't really make sense in the context they are delivered in but maybe they are trying to sound more Tolkieny or perhaps more likely, make an emotional link in the viewer's mind between the PJ trilogy and this, thereby making us more invested and accepting that this is a story of Middle Earth.
