Installing a LSA Supercharger or any other water cooled forced induction system needs to have a constant flow of water to keep the system cool. Pump failure can cause lose of power and damage to the supercharger unit. By making a few minor adjustments, Terry shows how he fixes his sporadic pump issues. The Bosch Cobra intercooler pump starts sending water through the LSA as soon as the key is turned. whooooo hooooo.. Check it out..

Just cleared up some questions I had about a2w since That’s the route I’m going on my turbo truck. Thank you for the great info.
  • @pFbSpecV
All this info will be useful if I ever decide to supercharge my trailblazer!
  • Great tip Terry. Don’t want to burn up that Bosch water pump or worse yet damage that beautiful blower or your engine.

Nice setup and keep videos coming. What headers are you?

Getting one of these (LY6) . Going to port the heads and put bigger valves in them (I think they are LS3 / LS3 spec) and put a tage 3 turbo cam in it from Brian Tooley Racing. The turbos will be smaller, so as I can get that instant spool effect from low down, like an NA car almost. they will be about 44mm unless any better suggestion pops up. Put a strocker crankshaft in to stroke it to 4"+ so it's just under 7 litres and install some I-beam conrods and 8.5 : 1 compression pistons

I think it's funny there's 94 likes and 0 dislikes for this video that teaches something that should be common sense for anyone that even has a peanut for a brain. I'm not hating on it though, if I had a dollar for everytime i did something dumb as f*ck, that was common sense, while working on a car, whether because i was rushed or just not focused id probably be a millionaire at the very least. One last thing when i installed my W2A intercooler on my Grand Prix i used a few of those 90* elbows similar to yours to connect the hoses. One day i found some 45* elbows i could use and figured it would improve flow and cut down on back pressure, so i swapped them out. Going from the sharp 90* turn to a smoother 45* improved my systems flow by approximately 1gpm using the same bosch pump and all 3/4" Hose and Fittings. Anyways nice video, i'll check out some of your other ones.

What size lines did you run to and from everything? I’m doing a swap currently with the same set up as you with the same pump/coolant tank/heat exchanger/and zl1 lid.
