Red Cap near summit Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Morning Adventure with Fanny and her sister Aly. We arrived at Sandstone Quarry trailhead at 8:40am and had to be back at my house(30 min from trailhead) by 11:00 so we had less than 2 hours to summit it and get back to the car. This was my first attempt at Red Cap so there was some wayfinding slowing us down and I had no idea what to expect at the top.

Following All-Trails got us in the vicinity of the summit rather quickly, about 45 minutes but then things got a little sketchy, the red line on the All-Trails map took me to a rather dangerous looking route to the summit and I had wished I had more time to look for a safer route but we had to get home.

I suspect that there are multiple ways to the summit because I've seen routes online that are loops going up one side and down the other. I'll summit this soon and I'll post a link.
