It would have been fun if you put all the Scarabs on one Knight sized base like a giant ball of doom with hundreds of legs in every direction.
-
"The eagle-eyed amongst my opponents will get a kick out of these pewter beauties" Translation: "I am going to get booted out of a GW store for using 'third-party' miniatures because even the staff won't recognise these antiques"
-
Just found some 2e Necrons in my father's stash of unpainted miniatures and a very early Black Templar, I can already tell painting them will be a lot of fun
-
in second edition when the metal ones released they weren't swarms. they were single models that didn't even have bases
-
Let's not forget the medium and extra tiny sizes that came in the Tesseract Vault kit...
-
Those metal scarabs look really cool mixed in with the newer ones!
-
Jay: "Paint the rim of the base..." Me: "Black!" Jay: "Gray" Me: "HERETIC!"
-
0:54 You know, there are a range of treatments available over the counter for an infestation of scarabs in your box.
-
It's interesting. In the novels I read the scarabs always skittered on the ground, until the new Swords of Calth where the scarabs flew.
-
I somehow never even noticed there was a new scarab after the first plastic one. My brain just processed the newest one as being exactly the same as the ones the last time I collected Necrons.
-
Video was really satisfying to watch. Seeing those old models be given new life or unlife by Necrons was cool so see.
-
Gives a good impression of a wave of horrible bugs about to break over some unfortunate!
-
Watching these old models and bits being put to good use and making a good looking unit, to me is like taking a sip of a hot cup of tea on a chilly winters day. Keep em coming!
-
They look great. And I love the amount of respect you show to the heritage models.
-
These look really good. The nuln oil airbrush and red eye highlight I'd never have thought of.
-
Retro scarab for the win! They came out literally at the last days of 2nd edition, and i do miss them...not trying to make an army out of solely metal models mind you. Long live the plastic!
-
These are fantastic!
-
Hey great video! I loved the little touch of montage and the fun little tactical play mentions!!! Its really awesome to see such well rounded content! Thanks!
-
Jay, this video came just right after I've purchased a bunch of pre-owned swarms with slight damage to them. Coincidence? .... Most likely, but still very welcome as I plan for their fixes.

Dope ass hobby apron! Great video as usual! Love the enthusiasm!
