Faulkner is having quite a moment. The road race, which was somewhat unexpected, then the pursuit. The moral of the story is if you want to become an Olympian, grow up in Alaska, go to Harvard, then become a Wall St analyst. Easy! Between Faulkner and Gabby Thomas, Harvard undergrads are well represented among champions this Olympics.

This was a heart stopping race because the US had the lead for most of the race and then lost formation at the end (running out of gas) and you wondered if they could pull it together for the win. Great job!! GO USA!!

Now usually you would want your 2nd wheel to downdraft the point header. But team USA mixed it up by having their 3rd header to support their left flanker. The result is a sub 4 on a standard duodenum track. Reminds me of the epic chase led by John Polenta in the 1970s. I made that all up. I have no idea whats going on. But go USA!!🎉
