Vintage 1968 Fender Telecaster • SN: 246002

There's nothing more beautiful than the feeling of playing an amazing guitar. The magic that lives inside of this wood has spanned generations. It is a one of a kind Vintage Fender 1968 Telecaster. This guitar has an exceptionally beautiful vintage tonality. The bridge pickup sounds round and full with a deep richness to it. The middle position has that quintessential percussive Fender tele sound that's sure to delight. Tastefully scooped in the mid-range with a sweet EQ. The neck pickup is round but not muddy or dark. Overall a shockingly clean example of a vintage Fender.

Greg is one of the best players I've seen or heard! He can play anything from rock to jazz and everything in between, but he also plays all genres at an extremely high level. What he doesn't know is not worth knowing.

In 1967 and before, Fender was doing rosewood necks, with the "cap" of rosewood on the maple back. When they came back to making maple necks, the maple "cap" was added over the maple back. It makes the guitar really sweet-sounding, not toppy and bright, just a little smoother than other Tele's. The only Tele's I like better are the early blackguards from 1952-54. But the maple-cap 68 Tele is a killer Fender.

I love his grooves. Forget the leads for a moment; Mr. Kochery plays phenomenal rhythm guitar.
