I think the Rock Vs Roman match can happen else where without the title, preferably summerslam. Cody has been built up from the moment he returned to WWE, he has the starpower and the main event factor. They definetely made the wrong decision.

I doubt they'd do it but imagine the pop on the Raw after Mania if in the first segment they announced Cody was taking his title shot at Roman then, it would be the closest thing since Ziggler cashing in on the Raw after Mania.

Ok. If the plan was for CM Punk to win the Rumble and challenge Rollins, with the Rock always having been planned to face Roman at Mania, I understand why this is a difficult situation. Another alternate pivot with the injury would be having someone injure Cody in storyline (Drew McIntyre?) so he misses Mania. And then the Rock can defeat whoever to become the #1 contender for Roman’s title.
