#roxysjournalofstitchery my finished huswif needle roll with more fun ideas #slowstitch #vintage

Sharing my finished Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Huswif or Hussif Needle Roll. #roxysjournalofstitchery

Plus lots more ideas you can add to your needle roll for future projects. I’ve had such fun working on this super sized needle roll and incorporating much more than just needles!

In this video I will also share a second version for creating vintage style covered buttons and how you can add these to quilt clips to make an attractive closure, clasp or brooch. Here’s a link to my earlier video where I shared the other method for making covered buttons:
   • DIY easy no kit fabric covered button...

This is such a fun slow stitch of slow stitching project and I have loved using all vintage materials and linens including lovely embroidered pieces, sourced from op shops, thrift stores or charity shops while on holidays in Alpine Victoria.

With thanks to Rachel ‪@roxycreations679‬ and Sarah‪@roxycreationsbysarah‬ for hosting such a fun project.

Cheers,
Christine

Dear Christine, I love your huswiff❣️ so much detail. 😊 You have 😊 forgotten nothing, it is a portable sewing room❣️👏🏼🥰 I am going to look for those looped kilt pins I have to make some covered buttons …they are lovely. Thanks 🌻🦋

Elizabeth T Kent England I watched how you started your Huswif and was amazed, now seeing the 2nd installment it's a double wow from me, I have started one for myself and now have more ideas, yours is beautiful Thankyou so much for the video, now to stitch 😊.

Thank you Christine for your video and a look at your beautiful project. I think this is brilliant, as I commented before this is the size I need. I wanted something that I can use daily and take away on holiday that has everything I could possibly need ,including pliers 😂. I have taken sewing away for a weekend break and had to stop due to not having something I ended up needing. Take the kitchen sink next time but loads of tins and pouches so this will be ideal. Excellent idea for those pins, I have some in my bead stash.
  • The huswif is spectacular! The way you have used that lacey table runner is genius! Love all the different pockets! The brooches are lovely, too!TFS and inspiring ❤
  • Your Huswif is beautiful, and full of everything to meet your sewing needs.

Omg it turned out amazing. I adore that it is absolutely huge and has allTheThings in it. Brilliant work. Still working on mine. I have since started a second one lol to qork out the pattern.
  • While I was watching your video I wrote down notes of things to add to my huswif when I make one. Also as I was watching it I thought to myself while we were sitting next to each other why didn't I ask you more about your history of sewing because you knew about needle turn appliqué.
