Kenya's president drops support for tax hikes after deadly protests

Kenya's president says he will not sign a controversial finance bill into law. The reversal comes a day after dozens of people were killed and injured in clashes with police while protesting the measure, which included hefty tax hikes. BBC Africa correspondent Barbara Plett Usher has the latest.

    I hope peace will come and Kenyans will be able to come back to civil negotiations, relying on the democratic process. Since the re-emergence of a multiparty democracy, Kenyans have enjoyed an increased degree of freedom.

    Significant national debt for leader taking out loans from china! The people lives are not improving but the nations debt is going up. Their leader are taking out high loans from china.

    Kenya depends on China. What does the government want to increase taxes for? They raised taxes to pay China for protecting the Kenyan regime. One YouTube said that, one country in Asian must pay 10 billion dollars per year for Chinese Communist Party because Chinese Communist Party protects the regime of that country.
