I bought this Chrysler (mopar) sight unseen. It's been sitting in a barn untouched for 22 years. The 1981 Imperial was a one year only fuel injected 318 engine. I'm going to try get this running, driving, and attempt to get 950 miles back home!

I wish someone believed in me as much as Derek believes in the integrity of that barn floor.
  • Derek, the lengths you go to in order to provide content is second to none. Body aches, long days, multiple stops, fixing issues on the fly... There's a reason I've been watching for over 4 years and will continue to do so. I don't care if the videos are 5 hours. You're thankful for us? We're all thankful for you, my friend.

i must say, opening a sunroof on a car thats been parked up for 20 years just before a 1000mile drive home is ballsy.

1.3 million views on a video in 2 days when the channel only has 1.9 million subscribers is absolutely amazing and a real estimate to the quality of the content.

3 hours?? Absolutely blessed us with a full length feature film!

I like how this car broke down on the owner and instead of selling it or crushing it, he let it collect dust for 22 years until one day the garage door opened and it was VGG. Bravo Derek!

This might be my favorite episode so far. Three hours of trouble, laughter, thoughts and genius workarounds to preserve a magnificent car. We even got to see some caves and carriages! 10/10.

Derek is the hardest working man on YouTube. He deserves every dollar he makes times 10.

Best line yet. “That’s a mustang, I’m getting out of here. There’s going to be light poles flying” 😂😂😂😂😂

Pretty incredible to see you revive a car and then DRIVE IT PAST MY HOUSE!! You're such an inspiration to me and many others. God bless!

I know Derek can't read 7000 comments, but I hope his family and close friends will repeat our concern about his health. He won't be putting out much content if he has a heart attack or loses a leg... This 3 hr marathon proves that his loyal fans will watch anything he does.

Take care of yourself Derek. Your family needs you more than we do brother.
  • I admire you SO MUCH! the genuine way you talk, teach, laugh and learn is truly a gift to this world. i appreciate you doing what you do, and sharing it with all of us. THANK YOU DEREK!
  • Once again, Derek tackles the impossible sight unseen and makes it possible. Which is why we all watch and admire his tenacity. Get the popcorn.

I worked at a Chrysler dealer in the 90's,
I had to convert one for a customer in 91'. The box the parts came in was insane, manifold, tank, lines, engine harness, ignition system (with spark control system) replacement digital dash cluster, throttle linkages for accelerator and transmission..
Wish I still had the installation manual

Ten minutes into the video he unpluges the wiper motor because they was wipin. 1hr 50 into the video, Derik: "Believe it or not, wipers aint wipen"... ...lmao. Genuinely love this guy!

Now that is the first time, I have seen someone rev the car in drive while under the hood like that. I'm glad the car didn't try to fly out of the barn on you. That was a fun surprise in the middle of the video. Thanks for sharing your fantastic journey.

There is no other content that I could watch for 3 hours and enjoy so much. This, along with so many of your videos is amazingly talented. We are grateful that you can earn enough $ to continue - but whatever it is should be double as you devote body and soul. The best compliment that I can give is this, Thank You!
