Which NHL Trade of the past decade is the worst, drop them for a part two
  • Interesting how Tkachuk in the thumbnail just won the Stanley Cup along with the Panthers. I do feel happy 99% of Flames fans had our backs, you guys are amazing.

The fact the Winnipeg highway robbery Dubois trade isn’t on there is crazy
  • Another one- FLA receive: Alex Auld Todd “7-game” Bertuzzi VAN: Roberto FUCKING Luongo Worst trade I’ve ever heard in my life

i thought you were gonna be one of those new, legit hockey chanel’s i subscribed to, until you said, “byuke-no-vick” wtf bro lmao
  • Montreal fleeced Vegas by trading Max Pacioretty for Nick Suzuki, Tomas Tatar, and a 2nd round pick in 2019. Suzuki is now our captain and Tatar, during his time with Montreal put up better numbers than Pacioretty ever did with Vegas.

While more than 10 years ago.... ottawa trading Alexei Yashin to the NYI for Bill Muckalt, Zdeno Chara, and and 2nd overall pick ( Jason Spezza)

Canuck fan here, and I'm shocked the Oliver Ekman Larsson trade didn't make the list. OEL was so bad for the Nucks that he was bought out, and his buyout is gonna cripple the Canucks for years to come. The 9th overall that was traded to the Coyotes turned into Guenther, who's looking like a star in the making.

Vancouver fan here. Kinda surprised that the list spared Jim Benning's embarrassing catalogue of bad trades.

Barkov effect is quite relevant when it comes to points players make in Florida.

What about Taylor Hall to the Devils for Adam Larsson
  • The Flyers trading away Bobrovsky is laughable. What they got in return for Columbus was two second round picks which ended up being Anthony Stolarz, and Taylor Leier. And a fourth round pick which they used to reaquire Simon Gagne lol. Meanwhile Bobrovsky is a two time Vezina trophy winner, and a Stanley cup champion probably a hall of famer as well.

Calgary flames trading away Sam Bennett for basically nothing is a very bad trade for calgary
  • @CanOfChunky

Erat/Forsberg trade basically got the GM in Washington (George McPhee) fired. Long story short- his replacement pieced together a better lineup and they won the Cup in '18. That pretty much got everyone in DC over this trade, but it was a major annoyance up until then. Not sure Forsberg ever would have gotten the ice time in DC to develop into what he became in Nashville. And after all that McPhee goes to Vegas and loses to the Caps in '18, but wins it in '23.

Difficult one with Panarin.. of course he is a top 3 winger in the league but when they traded Panarin, they already had 3 cups within 5 years and looking at it right now, having Nazar, Korchinsky, Bedard and likely getting Demidov or another top talent this year, they set themselves up for another good run in couple of years. Keeping Panarin would help them stay on the top for couple years longer but inevitably they need to go through a rebuild. This way they got a generational talent in Bedard
