  • I showed this video to a Dominican born and raised in DR. And he was like nah, are you sure this man is not Dominican? He knows all the idiosyncrasies and vernaculars. He has to be Dominican. I said he is an adoptive son of Republica Dominicana. And we have made him Dominican. And then the person said this guy is so cool. He's the real deal. So you are getting compliments left and right.
  • 🤣 my first trip to DR, I hear “Tu quiere una galleta?” You’d think you’re getting a cookie, nah, do you want me to hit you! It’s a trap phrase 🤣
  • This was a great video ! Now I know the difference between being literally with some of my phrases vs sounding more native and natural.

First Spanish learning channel I've come across from a Caribbean speaker. Subscribed! I normally practice with a coworker from Guatemala...he said that similar to English, spanish-speaking islanders are much harder to understand than those on the continent. I've never noticed a difference, but I haven't been exposed to much Caribbean Spanish so I'm looking forward to watching your videos. So far I can say you speak very rapidly but the subtitles help a lot. Big up from T&T! 🇹🇹🇹🇹

With this type of content , you may well be the " goat" of teaching spanish , i would assume that most people stuck at an intermediate level learned more in this video than a couple hours of studying verbs that still can be comfusing . So thanks bc ive looked at lists of colloquial sayings and without using and hearing them i wouldnt remember . These common ones to hear in context is most helpful . A step forward .
  • Tu eres uno de los mejores mano. He estado mirando tus videos desde que empecé a aprender el español. De hecho por ti decidí aprender el acento dominicano. Sigue haciendo el trabajo q tu hace mi loco, sigue así y Dios te va bendecir. ❤ todo amor

I've been a subscriber for a couple of years, and really love the direction of your channel!! I find these videos with common phrases and the silly, but normal, dialogue between los primos extremely helpful and entertaining. Please keep up this format!!

Primo, me encantó este video. Sí. Hablan muy feo en Nueva York. Un ejemplo es "Me cuesta estudiar español por mi cuenta". "Sería mejor tomar clases con Rikky".
