I've been a dead head for over 35 years and we thought every show was good and some shows were great and some were unbelievable. We never, ever talked bad about our band or our fellow deadheads. In fact, we didn't talk mean, love was very real. We loved all the songs and all the band members. The music is the magic and the band is the magical band . The names change and some leave us. We grieve like you can't imagine, but we welcome new band members with open arms and then that is that. They are the dead. They are in our band and we are thrilled and the band is thrilled and the music is a little different but it changes and gets great. It has the same essence that is the Dead. We are so Grateful and always the Dead. I hope you can join, too. It's ok if you can't, it's not for everyone. I love many who are not deadheads. If you are, you know it deep inside yourself. You are content and glad. We love each other because They Love Each Other.
  • Black Muddy River had the whole place in tears.......what a great time....y'all are a beautiful group of people!!
  • Best black muddy river i have ever heard. Me and my girl were on the road for a few weeks, starting to feel tired. Cried through the entire thing. That was our lulabye before we headed home to detroit. Thanks so much guys.

one of the best black muddy rivers I've heard from D&C....just fantastic!!!!
  • If they keep cycling newer generations with a heart for the music, this train could very well keep rolling for another 100 years.

Instant classic, this show is one of the best these guys have ever played. Not a crazy setlist or anything just the way they played, the vibe out there, the sound in there it was as close to old times as you will ever get.

John was such the right choice, not to fill Jerry's shoes but to wear a similar pair & he loves this too. Oteil & Jeff also compliment Bill & Mickey.

Bobby playing the China Cat riff during Mayer's first solo on Rider is absolutely fantastic!

Black Muddy River just makes me sob every single time I watch this

please let this and this band's performances stand alone without comparisons to earlier performances of other bands who played these tunes. How lucky we who love this music are to keep hearing it live, if we want. and to not, if we don't.

Johnny is truly wearing it out to the point he has to restrain himself. What an excellent guitar man.

I know I'm coming to this late. The interplay between John and Bobby was fantastic. I saw the Grateful Dead and I love Jerry. I would have no problem going to see this band. One love. I miss you all.

Saw them a few days before in VA. Just awesome...John had amazing tone and worked magic...gave me chills.
  • I challenge anyone to find fault with Johns rendition not Muddy River It is the essence of musical grace in its beautiful simplicity He is modest about his vocal ability but this moves me beyond words Thank you John for uplifting my spirit 🙏
