in donkey kong 3 for arcade, you CAN beat it without jumping. you can defeat all the bees in the level instead of donkey kong to win the levels.

DK Tropical Freeze is actually possible (excluding Rambi and Minecart sections). This is because of Cranky and Dixie Kongs' abilities in multiplayer. I'll leave a link to my run in the replies.

Didn't realize nintendo had such a lengthy history of ports, but I knew they couldn't leave well enough alone whenever they do. That's weird there's more games without the main character being playable than with, that's a goofy bit of trivia.
