UC acceptances are literally the most random things ever. I got into UC Berkeley but got rejected from UCLA and waitlisted at UCSD...

okay, but the "Buy your way into USC" statement is true, coming out 5 years after this video was made.

Important things of note about UCSC: • Also called "UC Second Choice" • The guy who founded UCSC thought UCBerkeley wasn't liberal enough • The marijuana thing is NOT exaggerated. They have a giant smoke out on 4/20 on a big field near the campus every year. • The campus is super gorgeous and is surrounded by nature. Sometimes you can see deer running through campus.

Whatever university you go to, be proud that you even got into a UC!!

The "study through an earthquake" actually happened to me. There was a 4.0+ quake while I was studying in the bottom floor of the main stacks....didn't leave, had midterms.

I HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS COMMENT... IT HAS NOW BEEN 2 YRS WTF I am actually super happy at UCSD and am grateful that I came here. I have great friends, I am in a project team, have had my fair share of partying. PRE COVID, I used to see the most beautiful sunsets as I walked back to my dorm from class. I now laugh at my own saltiness and sadness from 2 years ago. I came to UCSD for an engineering degree and it's not easy at all, but it's cool that I'm in a top 10 Engineering school... Just know that you'll find your place and even though it's cliche AS HELL, a school doesn't define you.

As a UCSD student, I can tell you that we're also called UC Sexually Deprived and that we have our own version of "Berkeley Goggles" we call the "Triton Eye".

I go to UC Berkeley.....yes we deadass study through earthquakes.

The thing thats really funny is once you get into any UC you can take classes at any other UC school regardless of how hard it is to get into admissions wise.

I'm attending UCR this fall and I want to defeat the stereotype that all students there are UC Rejects. I was accepted to UCLA, UCSD, and UCI and actually preferred UCR because of the location, the financial aid, the size of the campus, and UCR just felt like home. The other schools were just not ideal and I'm glad I focused on what I was most comfortable with rather than prestige. Update: I graduated this past March from UCR with a bachelors in psychology, completely debt free. I made great connections and wonderful friends through student orgs and took advantage of the many opportunities that UCR had to offer. I truly had an amazing time at UCR. It’s sad to see that my time there is over now but I’ll always be grateful for the experience.

I went to uci and this was 100% accurate except you forgot to mention the international asians here are rich AF and are all driving teslas and Ferraris

The fact that anyone gets into a UC these days is an accomplishment in itself.
