i love when the models talk like they aren't catwalking.. it's refresh

I think Virginie did a great job and is trying her best to handle everything without Karl. Yes, everything may not look the same and thats because Virginie is not Karl, she's her own person, so that means she's making her own designs.

No one comes even close to Chanel, they put on the best shows.

I love how some of the girls got to walk together and chat with one another. From a watchers point of view it made the collection feel more cozy somehow and feel more close to the collection.

it's not fair to keep putting pressure on virginie to be exactly like karl, the brand will never be able to move ahead if it is constantly nostalgic for when he was working there. this is her brand now and she can do with it what she wants. it's also not fair to expect her to constantly create wild and sometimes unrealistic fantasies for womenswear, if she wants to create more minimal, more practical wear for women then it should be supported. frankly i felt this was the most 'chanel' it's been since she took over, she is focusing on it being about easy wearable clothes, not a fantasy or piece of theatre. what karl did for chanel was what karl wanted to do for chanel, he didn't make rules for virginie to follow, now he's gone she is free to take the brand wherever she wants and if that involves minimal sets (which are far more ecological) and a more diverse wardrobe for customers then that is what she will do

The collection is fresh, feminine and dynamic. The two-piece suits, the little black dresses, the bulky jackets, the skirts, ughh so chic.
