You shouldn't have a loose dog and expect front door delivery.
  • I drive for ups. One of our daily stops didnt think his dog would bite, until it did. The dog got euthanized

UPS driver here. Thing people have to understand is - if this isn't my regular route, and I'm not familiar with your animal, I don't know if he's friendly or not. Don't expect me to not be wary of your dog. Also, your verbal assurances don't mean jack squat. I've had dogs try to bite me right after the owner assured me "he's harmless." I don't believe you. I don't trust you. And I don't trust your animal. I've seen dogs that looked friendly turn aggressive. So, until I'm familiar with your yard and your dog, I'm going to treat it like a bite hazard - the end. And you can save your assurances.
  • Secure your dogs when expecting deliveries and this wont happen. Smart driver.

these the customers that get mad when the package isn't delivered to the front door
  • @jlpc5789
Some customers just want to see us struggle to make deliveries
  • @hudsonumi
Bruh a dog is a dog.. I don’t blame any delivery people for not putting packages on front porch when there’s a dog. Even a small one.
  • Look up the stats on delivery drivers getting attacked and mauled by dogs. It’s absolutely disgusting how people think this kind of stuff is cute

I deliver for Amazon flex, if I see a dog I put Unable to deliver and keep it moving

As a Amazon delivery driver I hate dog owners. On private property not apartments because those dogs are use to people and are friendly. I really hate rich people that let their dogs roam free on their property. Guess what if I'm making a delivery to a rich person house with a long driveway and their dog is out barking at me, have fun walking down your driveway way to get you packages.

I've been driving amazon for a while now. I normally play it by ear but really, we're told almost daily to not get out of the van if there is a dog loose. No matter what breed or size Dog bites are pretty common and serious for delivery drivers. Rule of thumb is just please keep your dog secured if you are expecting a delivery.

If you think you’re dog is cool that’s fine… but the public don’t see that. All we see is a dog
  • I drive for Amazon and they teach us that if there’s a dog out and you can’t get contact the owner, you simply don’t get your package delivered. safety is priority
  • As a delivery driver customers don’t care they just want there packages in the front door i had been bite by one and still they feel victimized and say its not professional
  • @fyoutube10.24
This is how it goes If your dog is out and barking at me from the moment I pull up to deliver your package, I'll call & text you, if you don't answer then your package is being marked as unable to deliver.
  • Just can’t fix stupid “Ya my package is getting delivered today” but I’ll leave my dog running loose…and Stupid breeds Stupid…been bitten several times one got me a nice paycheck thanks to the homeowners insurance.

As a fellow Amazon delivery driver I can fully understand how this man feels. Unknown dogs can be terrifying for delivery drivers depending on the circumstance. Personally I just skip the stop till the end of my route if theres a dog between me and the door that I'm uncertain of.
  • @bearbeast727
That's one way to do it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
  • @hmoobtojroob9066

These are the customers don’t want to compromise but ask for the most ridiculousness: “park your truck on the small two way street, walk down my one mile driveway(do not park on my driveway!!), you will see my front gate(beware of dogs sign), open gate walk to the backyard gate on the right side of house (with the beware of dogs sign), open and walk to back of house, take stairs down to the door of my basement, put in safe box(pin #****)….but at same time appreciate there are some amazing customers who are reasonable and understanding with common sense that will help compromise (leave/toss it over the gate, leave in safe box at gate….this is towards secluded and unusual houses….still not as bad as gated communities/apartments that don’t want to provide gate codes, they are the worst!
