Kefar Nahum is the town which was the center of Jesus’ ministry in northern Galilee and the town of where Peter’s mother-in-law lived.

Located on the north-west side of the lake of Galilee, the ruins of Capernaum are divided into two sites: the Franciscan and the Greek Orthodox.

Unlike Jerusalem and other touristy ancient places in Israel, Capernaum seems to be untouched, still in its raw form. Just by walking here, and looking at the lake, the hills, the mountains, we felt connected to its history. It is as if we could almost see Jesus walking on these shores, looking at the same hills.

And besides the breathtaking nature, Capernaum has fascinating ruins. A 4th-century synagogue built on top of the original one where Jesus taught, a house which is believed to be the house of Simon Peter the apostle, and much more.

Join us in this episode as we explore this fascinating place.

Season 2, Episode 5

* Narration correction: The land was purchased on 1894, not 1908.

As I am watching this and wishing that I can go there, a small voice asked me" why?" and goes on to say" I am no longer there but with you." He is with all of us who are watching and wishing. May the love of our Jesus be with you all.

I'm from a small Maronite village called Ain Ebel (Spring of the Monk) in South Lebanon. Jesus used to come to the spring near my house to drink water before making his trips to Tyre. Jesus used to also walk through the hills and cliffs behind my house! 🙏🏻

Watching this brings tears to my eyes. I can only imagine how it would feel to actually be there in person. To be in the place where Jesus was...
  • Imagine face to face with Jesus. "Do you love me?" Wow. Of course I do, but does my actions show that. The relationship between Peter and Jesus blows my mind. Even more that a gentile like me has been grafted into His kingdom through Jesus!! Bless the Lord o my soul! Great video and editing as always!

The only one person who loves us always is Jesus Christ.
  • Thank you my Lord Jesus 🙏 for keeping all these memories of yours to remind us of your physical life on earth. Today Jesus is with us always and anywhere. We love you Jesus.

I became so emotional seeing this video because I can't go there in my life. This is because my country(Bangladesh) doesn't allow us to go there, Bangladesh has no political relationship with Israel. It is my biggest dream in life to see Israel, The land of God and Jesus through my eyes. But thanks to you guys that for you I can see at least through videos. God bless you.

One of my favorite passages too, Rhoda.:-) There have been so many times where the Lord was the only one I had. He is my portion. I am grateful for my brothers and sisters in Christ, but the Lord Jesus has been my rock time and time again. I love you both and enjoy your videos so much. I am studying Israel now and so glad the Lord led me to your channel.
