First person that shows from inside when welding how the helmet and fast the reaction time is. Thank you. Everyone else talk about the helmet but doesn’t show it from inside.🎉

You can test a helmet using your tv remote infrared light. Just hold remote close to the lens sensors and push any button and the lens will darken if it working.

Yo don’t forget to change the batteries soon, they’re almost dead

Great video and nicely explained .In my case ,my helmet is solar powered and I haven't used it for 2 years stored indoors. It darkens when welding but not as before or as in your video ,so I placed it outside to charge .If it doesn't,then have to buy a new one,I guess.Do you recommend solar or battery powered?

Me watching this in 2021 just like well if he is still using this hood time to change the battery

Hey so I just got a Lincoln electric welding helmet and I’m having trouble closing it all the way down, it only stops halfway. Any help?

I'm new to welding and just going to keep it for simple projects. I bought an auto darkening helmet. The first thing I did is forget that the switch was on grind mode so it didn't darken. There's a sensitivity mode and delay mode. If I set the sensitivity mode to the max, it should react to arcs that aren't as bright, correct? If I set the delay to the max does that keep it in dark mode longer after the arc has ended or delay it from coming on sooner? I'm thinking it should keep it in dark mode longer. I was amazed how dark a regular mask is and how you can't really see anything. The auto darkening seems to be a good option, if the darkening mode is on and set to the right number or higher.

I bought similar helmet but the when look through the glass it’s blurry. What is causing this issue? I took the protective film off

What are some ways to deal with attention to detail during the "dark mode" , sorry for the probably silly description of that but I'm getting into welding now and not quite sure on all my terminologies. For instance if you have to make a tight corner or for irregular gap welds (not straight)?
