J. Krishnamurti - Ojai 1985 - Public Talk 4 - The ending of continuity

Summary:

Thinking is based on experience, and experience is always limited, therefore knowledge is always limited, now or in the future or in the past.

Our memories are limited, because they're based on knowledge and experience. Where there is limitation there must be conflict.

Can there ever be complete, unbroken freedom?

The psychological division in each one of us may be one of the major causes of disorder.

What does death mean?

Is creation related to ending?

Is there an ending to one's deep memories? Is there an ending to attachment?

Can you live with death all day long?

What is true, actual religion, not the religion invented by thought?

Deliberate meditation is like any other form of achievement.

This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.

The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'

We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.

Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at [email protected]

In every lecture, how he sat upright, his legs tightly together, his hands tucked under his legs. The calm and seriousness in his face, his eyes hid nothing. The way his eyes scanned the crowd. He was in meditation. Incredible.
  • This is really a phenomenal talk. We were all so blessed to have K with us helping us all by showing us the possibilities of what we can be of we become individuals. He was the best and created countless leaders

K wisdom came from the soul directly. Many are using his talk as if it came from them instead of building on what he left behind.
  • Thank you Sir. I am forever grateful to you. Please accept my heartfelt salutation.
  • I find myself watching Krishnamurti videos out of interest and love for who he is and as a matter of fact I discovered Krishnamurti out of curiosity...it was a book that was somewhat different than the others... Meditations... which is a book of poetry...I continued reading books transcribed of his talks out of interest in what he was saying as if it was poetry... though I do find myself thinking something invaluable could be gained if I could have an insight into myself as he describes I appreciate my continuity personally...I enjoy having a self image of sorts... the key I'm attempting to grasp is to realize how to have no attachment to the psychological image I have of myself... perhaps I simply don't understand his message deeply enough... though I find beauty in the intricacies of the self and don't see how it truly stops one from feeling love and compassion

  • Ending of Continuity-NOW! Merge, not apportion, into Absolute Truth where time, space and self is not. Thanks K and friends.
