  • I’m still financially recovering from my trip to Zurich and I live in London! Very clean, very organised, very nice people in general, but now that I’ve been, I won’t repeat. You’re right about taxis.
  • Just finished our eight days in Switzerland and thank you for all the info I gleaned from watching your videos. Todays #1 tip though I wish I had known. We took the train in from Chur to Zurich for the last night before our flight - wasted time and $$ by having to pay to transport to the hotel (15 Swiss each way) and back to the airport in the morning… We should have just stayed in the AirB&B we had, and then taken the train straight to the airport. Oh vell!! Lesson learned!

2:42 Also take a look at the 9 Uhr pass - it's 24 Franks and valid from 9 am in the whole zvv region.

Thanks so much! I won't be getting to Switzerland soon, but it's on the bucket list, and I know it will be expensive when I do get there, so I want to get the planning right. It's fantastic to get these tips. <3

    1. You can enter any COOP (they are almost everywhere in Zurich) and use the restroom for free. 2. The SBB tourist help centre at Zurich HB station accepts euros if you purchase any train tickets etc and return the change in CHF. They provide excellent exchange rate.

A month ago I was in Zurich HB and I had to use the restroom, I had coins I was figuring out how to used them but I couldn't and had to pay with card :( bear in mind I was in a hurry. After I came out I saw another person struggling so the cleaner helped her and went to a vending machine to buy a card so she could go in. And later read that it said "entry only with card or smartphone" (Zutritt nur mit Karte oder Smarthphone) I was not expending this haha. Oh and thanks to your videos helped me plan all my journey thru Suisse, it was wonderful. You guys are amazing ❤.

I had a look at the Swiss card and it looked really good, but then my friend looked up the actual train prices and I was amazed how cheap they are compared to UK trains. Definitely cheaper to just pay the full train price than get a Swiss card for us.

Hi Alexis and Louis, Thanks for the informative video, super useful as we are planning to visit Zurich during new year eve. I would be grateful if you could advise if I need to buy All zones tickets in ZVV or I can manage with some selected zones? Please note that I will be staying in Center and plan to go around few places including Lake Zurich. Thanks in advance
  • There are more and more toilets in Zurich that you can pay for with a card ☺️ For example, at the main station and at Lindenhof. Interesting video, greetings from Horgen! 🥰
