  • I hope that more people will see this documentary now that Roger Penrose has won the Nobel prize.

In India it's a custom that we are recognized when we are recognised by the foreigners. Truly spoken out by sir Raychaudhuri.

I'm blessed to have been his student from 1967 to 1972. My respectful regards to the greatest teacher I've seen.

As soon as I heard about the Nobel prize, I asked "Why Raychoudhuri is not getting the prize?" only later found out that he passed in 2005. How sad that both Raychoudhuri and Hawking didn't live to share the prize with Penrose.

RIP Professor Raychaudhuri... legends don't need awards to be recognized..
  • In our country, people and media are so obsessed with bollywood that the real heroes remain unnoticed.

Why mostly great scientists are also great human beings? His smile is so genuine.

Dear Indians...In era of globalisation do remember to respect a common man, and never judge a man by dressing style, pronunciation and do proud of your culture -history and incorporate them into yourself.. Never copy!

If he immigrated to UK or USA, the world would have known about him.
  • I can remember one incident, heard from one of my friend. He was a student of Prof. Roychaudhury at Presidency college. He once went to his house and knocked the door. One lady opened the door , then he asked if there is Prof. Roychaudhury? The lady, who turned out as his elder sister, replied with pleasant smile that which Prof. Roychaudhury you want, actually here , in our house everyone is Prof.Roychaudhury, then he explained more clearly, and then sister called Prof. Roychaudhury by his nick name. Amitabha Roychaudhury is his nephew also a reputed Professor of Physics.
  • It is a matter of utmost shame that this genius got no recognition for his contribution. But our useless politicians get full time care despite the fact that they hardly contribute towards the society and loot taxpayer's money. People like Mr. Raychaudhari must be our role model, we should aspire to become like him in our respective fields, JNU chaps are waste of India.

He deserves more and more respect and popularity .. Shame on us ..we didn't recognise a jewel and a legend ..we even didn't listen his name ..we have to accept it ..if he would born in Germany or USA ...he would have won Nobel prize ..
  • True her wife said... Until he was not recognized in vestern country he was not known in india.. I think its costume in our country that when other country pray you then you are great... It's hurting... Leave others even me came to know about him after Physics Nobel Prize in 2020
  • I as a student studying physics, promise I shall carry forward the legacy of the professor and look forward to contribute to the science...Thank you for inspiring me sir
