Elvin Bishop was born to write and perform this song and Micky Thomas was born to sing this song. My life has been blessed by that confluence of incredible talents

The vocals and range of Mickey Thomas are so incredible. I was an instant fan of his when I first heard this song. He also has incredible songs he sang with Starship including the mega hit from the movie Mannequin. He always seems happy and fun every time I see a performance of him. Keep it up Mickey you are truly awesome!!

The year I changed boyfriends…the old was a player that discovered he loved me, but the new one and I fell in love fast! Engaged, then married…45+ years of making my heart flutter still💕💕💕

The song cut across America and hit every heart's sweetspot. How this impeccable song and vocal and band did not hit number 1 is simply tragic. Every kid knew this song if they were music lovers. It was certainly in contention for the song of the decade. I loved it than and I love it even more today. This performance was live folks and it sounds like a studio recording. You can't touch this song with anything today in my opinion because it's iconic!
  • Well this song brings me to when I was 17 in1977 wow what fun I had
