My husband taught me well. He said to only pay cash and only use a credit card if you have the money to pay the bill when it is due. We never had a car payment, a Home paid for in 11 years, and no debt. Having less is freeing. Never be a slave to banks.

Thank you for staying true to yourself. I’ve unsubscribed from so many channels that were constantly buying. I know those creators feel they have to keep things new and fresh but as a subscriber, I find it unattainable, exhausting, and just plain wasteful. I love an uncluttered cozy home.

Hey Amy, Keeping real plants alive isn't hard. There are however a few things you should follow. When the soil of your plant feels dry to the touch, take the pot to the sink and fully saturate the soil , let it drain fully in the sink , then return it to its place until it dries out again. I place my plants in a lot of indirect sunlight if possible but I also use grow light bulbs in my kitchen recessed lighting and in a few lamps. Plants don't need a lot of fertilizer in the winter but you can add a scoop of slow release fertilizer granules and not worry about it. Lastly, take pleasure in your plants and enjoy watching them grow and they will reward you.

A great tip if you want to keep things uniform is to buy multiples. Things will break, get lost or whatever and those things won't be available at Target anymore, so an extra set or two tucked away can be helpful.

28 years married who LOVES antiques, my house is decorated with the family antiques. I have on my bedroom wall the quilt that my 3rd great grandmother made. I would hang her picture but quite frankly her stern look scares me. I can tell the story of the item or person of everything in my house. My dishes are old restaurant ware. Much smaller in size but totally works with my vibe.

Amy I am so excited for you as you prepare to move into your new house. I support your wisdom that less is more. Far too many YouTubers get carried away with buying more and more decorative stuff for their homes and thrifting more than they have places to put the thrifted stuff. Rather than looking pleasing, it makes the house look cluttered. If I could just say one thing, you look beautifully tanned and it is very attractive. However, I've been watching a 70 year old family member having cancer sores burnt and cut out of his skin, One was so large on the face, that a plastic surgeon was needed. This was caused by too much sun exposure when he was younger. Please do realize that any tan is dangerous and even if it doesn't result in skin cancer, it will eventually make you look older with more wrinkles. Please do be cautious.

I too went through that period of buy, buy, buy. I have too much stuff. I don’t use most of it. It’s really true, that litter is needed to have a happy home. Your home will be full of love, laughter and many memories. I’m really excited to see your new home after your big move. ❤

I cannot wait to see you move in and decorate! I am on the other end of moving because the hubs and I are in our early 60’s and downsizing to 1100 sq feet. We are really excited and I’ve purchased a “few” new things too! Lol

I'm still using the flatware that my husband and I got for our wedding... almost 35 years ago. Admittedly, we've lost pieces, so I have substituted with pieces from thrift stores. I was waiting until I saw some I liked before buying cause I didn't want to settle. I love what you found.... everything!

Amy I am a Youtuber as well and I understand what you mean about buy buy buy. I am not that person, I definitely don't spend like other content creator do, I'm more like you are now. I am a thrifter cause I live saving a dollar and 90 percent of my home is thrifted or DIYed lol. I just have to say that I am so proud of you sis!
