This is getting me more emotional than it should. So warning: Long comment ahead. I'm so, so proud of how much the girls have achieved and gone through this year — from Yeri crying 'cause she thought Rookie wouldn't be well-received, yet winning 9 awards on music shows and an almost PAK on the charts. Joy not being able to join them on some schedules, but the members always supported her (even helping her in acting lines of her script) and they never forgot her, always taking care to talk about her whenever they're given a chance to speak, or when they finish a performance. We also got our fandom name, Reveluvs, which Yeri leaked lmao! And although promoting Red Summer's time was too short, it was enough for it to be hailed countless times as the Song of the Summer, and even almost as the Song of the Year. That era was where Red Velvet and Reveluvs had our many firsts — first concert, first reality show, RV's own Vlive channel, RV's own Twitter. Wendy on the last day of the Red Room concert teared up because one of her biggest dreams came true — her parents were in the audience, watching her do what she loves after years of not being able to see each other. Seulgi was also given a chance to shine in her own way through IDOT, rehashing her trainee days (WHICH IM THANKFUL SHE NEVER GAVE UP I LOVE U BEAR) and showing how talented, hard-working she is just by being her damn adorable self. Red Velvet's episode in Weekly Idol also skyrocketed Knowing Brothers' ratings to 2%, so powerful. Rookie contributed, and Red Summer cemented the success. Now, Peekaboo. Ugh, I love this era, honestly. This is the era where Red Velvet was very comfortable in showing their true selves through their music. They didn't care much for awards this time, they just wanted to be able to show their artistry. And in my opinion, they did a great job. This is an achievement that brings a lot of satisfaction more than an award will ever give. Many Reveluvs (me included), non-fans, critics agree that Perfect Velvet was able to demonstrate their velvet side that breaks the misconception that the Velvet side is just composed of ballads. But even though RV has said that awards weren't of much importance this era of course we Reveluvs still wanted the best for them, and just when we thought all hope was lost in getting a single award for them this era (because they deserve it!!!!!), they won an award on the last day of their promotions. This is also the era where they had their first comeback showcase in three years (hosted by Taeyeon!!!!), and their first showcase in Japan. Album sales also surpassed 100k+. In this era, Yeri got to do more of what she wanted to do and what she loved to do — (go on dates with Saeron lmao JK) she composed and wrote for Ragoon's title track, Story. While Irene is finally, finally getting noticed not just for her beauty, but also for who she is and what she can do, she has guest starred in various shows that bave shown just how much of a grandma dork she really is. So if Rookie contributed, Red Summer cemented, then Peekaboo continued the success. Red Velvet also won Best Female Group (MAMA) and was part of the Top 10 Artists awardees (MMA). I really like Joy's talking voice. It's soft, sweet and airy. She can be a good MC or announcer.

Red Velvet is really the whole package. They have the looks and the talent. Their visual is really off the chart. They can sing, rap, dance. Their personalities on top of that are beautiful.

After watching this performamce i can really see how much they grow as RedVelvet and even their fandom. SM did great with them though sometimes they are being shitty witb RV. In my opinion they are the most love girlgroup right now in S. Korea. Twice is also popular and they currently have the title as Asia's girlgroup bec. They are very popular but in particular for S. Korea it's RV, in my opinion. I'm glad that SM is not rushing them to debut in japan in order to stabilize their fandom in S. Korea. You can also see the same thing for EXO they are really love in S. Korea even though BTS have the title as the top artist worldwide. This strategy of SM is really good no wonder why RV can last long on charts for many weeks. Keep up the good work RV!!!!
