Tragedy in HOLLYWOODLAND-Peg Entwistle in 1932
In 1932, stage-actress Peg Entwistle left Broadway in New York after the Great Depression began closing the doors to plays where she traveled to California during the Golden Age of Hollywood to pursue a screen-acting career where she failed to grace the silver screen that crushed her dreams.
After being turned down for roles, she became depressed and took her own life by leaping from the “H” off the Hollywood sign.
