i still want 3.75" GI JOE EXTREME figures...of all of the characters! love the cartoon.
  • @peterang78
It sucks that Low Light didn't made it into Night Force because it would totally fit in with his speciality.
  • @mitch19872
Second best year sales wise in 1993 and then by the end of 1994 the line is done all so they could eliminate any competition for the Star Wars line. Hasbro buying Kenner really hurt the toy industry.

funny how hasbro started making figures in those god-awful colors to increase sales, but sales steadily declined because no one wanted yellow and orange colored figures. i wonder if any of the execs at the time look back now and think that maybe they shouldnt have made 50 versions of snake eyes and cobra commander and kept the figures to more realistic military colors?

A Cobra Island would have been great. It could have been modular, with various pieces sold separately and attached wherever desired. And that Insecticycle looks like a Tron bike.
  • @Its.Chad.
Now THAT is my kind of video!! I love all the unproduced stuff from ARAH and beyond. That train was made in 1:18 scale by Steve’s Toys. It’s gorgeous - fully motorized and everything - down to the recon vehicle. He’s making me one…I couldn’t resist. Another amazing video, my friend!

The unproduced Aircraft Carrier brought a tear to my eye! 😢
  • @pkeel7576
This is by far the best gijoe video I’ve seen in years. Awesome!!!!!
  • @jakeproven256
Neat to see what could've been, I mean that Cobra Island playset would've been awsome!
  • A train is such a fantastic idea. They could sell the track and the main car or two as a low-cost bundle, and then release new cars later to expand, each with their own unique features. I would have played the hell out of that if it existed.
  • @dennisrounds1996
Excellent and entertaining video , well done. I for one was actually a fan of Cobra La because it was such (at the time) a strange and unique concept. I was already aware that some of the proposed ideas got refitted into others (as was battle force 2000 as CL vs BF2K was supposed to be a Joe spin off) I wonder what other crazy concepts we might have gotten?!

I'd of killed for a chef figure for my joes! In 86 was the first time I ever did any real cooking (I was 9) and wanted to be a chef from then on. 😅

Hasbro was on the fence for toy creations for a long time... I drew up a vehicle when I was 8 and it was so cool my teacher urged me to send it to them. After about a year of hearing nothing about my creation I saw it on a commercial. It was the Rolling Thunder. They completely took my idea and didn't even send me a thank you note or anything. The only difference was mines had a boxed shark face. Mines didn't have the mini drone vehicle, but everything else was exactly how I drew it. I drew it after I saw an airport crash fire truck and thought it would be cool as a military vehicle. Shame.

There’s some real gems in there. The SeaBee pro type and Chef were my favorites 🏆
  • @SpineTicks
Very cool What If packed with a ton of info and photos! Another banger, Jesse!
  • @johnconnolly2773
Those look great, I would have already aged out of collecting by then, but it's still very cool. Thanks for all the research, Jesse.
  • @joefan6316
Very cool! As a 90s kid I always lament at what could have been with the cancelled Battle Rangers line.
  • @betaraybob
Great video. Thank you for finding and showing us all these unproduced figures and vehicles.
  • @magnuslauglo5356
Wow, thank you for compiling this. So many different products - I was familiar with many of them, but lots of them are new to me. I think my favorite is that Cobra submarine - that would have been terrific (and much more satisfying than the powerful but awkward Hammerhead that we got). It's a real shame the Mauler didn't get rereleased in green. With so many toys products considered, including some very large ambitious ones, I am surprised that there's no evidence they ever considered the Cobra transport chopper that was so ubiquitous in the comics.
  • It’s fascinating when you look at the I produced Adventure Team sets and vehicles from the 70s that eventually became RAH vehicles.
