Years ago, probably 12 or 13, I was a chauffeur and remember picking Cactus up in a stretch Hummer at his house in Franklin, TN. We went to pick up Wynonna in Leiper's Ford and took her to a Christmas party in Nashville I still remember to this day, I hadn't driven her in a year, and she recognized me and hugged me. Cactus was such a gentleman. These people are the real deal. I'm just now seeing this, and it's bringing back so many memories.

I love Wynonna, she is a voice for women's strength and hope, not only in this with her beloved husband but in her walk in this life!  I have watched all the docuseries with her and her mother...she is truly more then a survivor, she is truly a blessing.  I wish her and her family long life and happiness, God has sent us glory and grace to hear her voice.  I am 65 years old and I can certainly identify with her life and struggles.  God bless her today and always.

No wonder Wy fell in love with Cactus; he has beautiful eyes. The eyes are the windows to the soul. God bless him!
  • Winona and Cactus, God was on your side that fateful day. I am a nurse , now 80 years old. Winona your care and nursing capability to help your husband paid rich rewards. May god grant yoga long and happy life. It is a day since your dear mum Naomi passed away. My heart is with you all.

What a beautiful, uplifting and amazing story. I have always loved Wynona for the music she and her Mom gave us. But seeing her love for this man and her willingness to be there for him through all of the trauma made me see her in a different way. She is beautiful inside and out.

What an inspirational story of love. As bad as the injuries were, I find your commitment to Cactus just as big of a story here. God bless you Wynonna and Cactus.
  • I didn't shed a tear until Cactus came onstage walking with his walker. This is an amazing story. One of courage and faith. I can't believe it was only 3 1/2 months. God does have a plan. Love you Wy and Cactus ! ✌🏻❤
  • This is so touching. It’s good to see Wynonna has finally found that one true love she has been seeking all her life. They seem perfect for each other. May god bless them with many more great years ahead.

We just saw Wynonna and Cactus in concert last night, and all I can say is WOW!! To overcome an injury like that, and play like he did, it's a miracle!! Amazing story!

Wynonna Judd and the Big Noise played a show this week, here in Carmel, CA. I was an old Judds fan and loved Wy's first solo album, but had gone in a different direction and not kept myself current with her. I just happened on the concert because I am an Uber driver and I picked up a passenger who was going home early from the show and she gave me her ticket and I shot back and saw the last half hour of the show. Sat in row 6 center. I knew nothing about her relationship with Cactus and wasn't quite sure when she introduced him if I was hearing right when she called him "Cactus"..... anyway, she also told the whole story of the crash and his road to recovery. I was amazed at what an energetic and talented drummer he was. He is no longer using a walker. You would never know he had any sort of limitations at all..... Now I am scouring YouTube and catching up with what has happened with Wynonna the past 10-15 years...... Pretty amazing!
  • I just ran across this video. What an incredible story of sheer determination on Cactus’s part, an inspirational love story, and a story of faith. God bless!
