I hope you guys enjoy part one of our trip to the arctic! This has been one of the most memorable trips of my life, and we're still out here on the road! Make sure to subscribe for part 2 next week and check out Trail Recon for Brad's videos from this trip as well.

Shaun is one of the few guys who actually builds a rig and uses it! Love this series!
  • We drove the Cassiar Highway in June 1979 just after it fully opened to the public. The lakes were full of trout. I don't recall services until we got to the north end which was open to the public for years. It didn't rain so the dirt road was dry fortunately. We didn't hit slick mud and rain until Dawson City and Top of the World Highway. 1978 International Scout. After that 16 years of exploring Alaska by river raft, cabin cruiser, canoe, and off-roading as far north as the Brooks Range almost to the Arctic Ocean. Shaun and Brad have a LOT more to explore 🙂
  • The TSTN version of "does a Bear shit in the woods?" "Does a Shaun cross a sketchy bridge?" Can't wait for more on this trip!

A dad’s journey from 4X4, to 2WD, then ultimately FWD and sliding doors.

Thankyou, this brings back memories as your taking me thru my childhood stomping grounds, lived in the Hazeltons until I was 17, grew up fishing the skeena, meziadin, been “hyderized” and to the bear glacier. Much appreciation for the rush of memories of that beautiful area and it will always be my home. Thankyou, enjoy that spectacular area👍🏻
  • Awesome video as always Shaun. Y’all trip to the Arctic Ocean is going to be an epic adventure can’t wait to watch the rest of it on both yours and Brad’s channels. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
  • Absolutely awesome video Shaun. This might turn out to be my favorite series that you’ve done! You and Brad are my two favorite off road YouTubers so it’s super cool that you two are traveling together. Can’t wait for the next video!
  • I love what you do! The Canadian wildness never gets old for me. Your videos are so professionally done you really got it down. I hope more people subscribe to your channel and don't forget to like the videos people. Showing more of your family is always a plus so over the years we can watch your daughter grow! Hats off to you brother!

Here in idaho there are so many fire lookouts still livable, and in great condition. Forest service will allow you to stay in them for days for a small amount of money.
  • @MindyManard
I love the new Ram! We have been running our Ram 2500 overland rig since 2020 and it still competes with the Jeeps and Toyotas! Great video! Keep it up! #PMOverland #staywild

Sucks that the cv’s failed so fast. I’m glad you’re still able to make the most of it though! Excited to see what’s up next.

Im sure you have heard it a million times. Your drone shots are absolutely insane. Love this content!
  • I’m so pumped to watch this series bud! I hope to do the trip myself one day.
  • @colnando

  • @mikebaccala5675
I'm extremely happy for you you deserve all of this you have worked hard for it. Enjoy every moment like it's your last.😊
  • @Venture2Roam
Great kick off to the series. Cool seeing you try new things both with your rig/routes and in the edit.

As a southerner I’m always amazed at the amount of bugs and mosquitoes I see in videos taken up north. We always associate them with tropical areas or hot and humid temperatures. The scenery is stunningly beautiful regardless of the bugs
