-Negative emotions are a call to action. -Your first step if you feel stuck is to answer the call to adventure. -You have to become aware of what is holding you back. Journaling, meditation, and shadow work, are ways to do so. -Keep a ‘win log’ to reconfirm your progress. Build evidence that you are going for it.

Love the goldfish analogy! My own 'identity' was locked in stone with a childhood trauma...and that is where I stayed. Once I saw the core issue, I began to grow! It was, and still is a painful journey - dealing with a lifetime of non-living. After suppressing my 'self', and seeing the truth of it, I entered a phase of great despair. Challenging one's inner thoughts and embedded default programs is not an easy road. Yet it is the only road to inner peace. Best to all my fellow travelers.

Hold your identity as lightly as a feather, but your values as tightly as priceless jewels.
  • I'm doing it now, changing myself. The person I am currently is a character I created in my teens. So now at 36 I'm becoming who I was meant to become, because deep down, I wanna be this version of myself.

spot on: identity shifting is actually identifying whatever exists inside of you that puts walls between your true core self and the actions you carry out in the name of "being who you are", be they false beliefs (i'm unworthy, undeserving, unlovable...), misplaced shame, guilt, etc. in my case, i very recently transformed away from thinking i was not worthy of love NOT by finally believing i was loveable, but by finally understanding how i kept feeding the monster of negative self-talk (which never led to a good place), and then stopped feeding it this left me with what my core self already knew: i am loveable et voila, transformed

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!🎉❤ This is exactly what I needed today! I am at this pivot point in my life....once again! I'm pumped up and scared at the same time. I'm going back to school starting June 18th till October 10th 3x/wk at nighttime. I'm at the gym right now while listening to your uplifting and reassuring video, thank you so much!! I have been going crazy decluttering my place, new shelves, organizing getting my desk ready for school and balling my eyes out on occasions because I'm burnt out after 19 years in wellness and healthcare. I will be waiting to hear from you.😅 Thank you again and best wishes for you to expand!🙏

"Negative emotions are a call to action" — aka, a call to adventure!! I listened to the Psycho-Cybernetics audiobook a couple years ago and it was such an interesting listen. Our self-concept is everything over the external stuff. And your story/point about age (perceiving ourselves as being too young vs. too old to do something) is a battle that's surely as old as time itself... we're the right age for something when we decide we are. Awesome video ❤‍🔥

My identity was stifled by being in relationships with partners who kept me from growing. I’ve always been an overachiever, and since leaving the last relationship, I’ve published a novel and I’m starting a small business. Focusing on me is a priority.
  • @marxman376
Interesting analogy. I think the most overused phrase on earth is " Just be yourself ". Most people don't know and will never live up to who they really are.
  • @dinavalerie130
I can verify the goldfish thing lol we won a goldfish at a street fair and put it in our 10 gallon fish tank and he/she quadrupled in size, the biggest goldfish I’ve ever seen! 🤩 Grow bigger everyone!! 🎉❤
  • @CandyChantelle
I’ve started listening to my internal whispers that have been getting louder - and they’re all reminding me of who I’ve palmed down over the last couple of decades. It’s scary to realise but also makes me hopeful.
  • @obidude
Dear Clark, behold your fix-all video's claim, "Change inside, you'll never be the same!" Max Maltz snipped but soon did see, Plastic tweaks don't set the spirit free. "Answer the call!" you gleefully shout, Change your essence, inside and out. Shed your shadows, stack your wins, Reinvent daily—the new you begins. Thanks, Clark, for your grand advice, I'll morph my identity, roll the dice. With a sprinkle of psyche and a dash of Zen, I'll craft a new me, but… who am I again?
  • @AlexaLikes
This is fantastic advice! I started journaling in January 2020. It changed my life. I also keep a log of what I do daily (tasks, chores, activities, milestone achieved), because then I know I have been putting in the reps for my goals even if I don't achieve them as fast as I had imagined. It makes it more difficult to give up on yourself.
  • @ChrisRstep
After 20+ years of smoking I quit over a month ago so my journeys just beginning
  • @LizzieTimewarp
There will always be people older than you and younger than you, which is why age can never be a factor in starting anything. S. E. Hinton started her career when she was a teenager. Colonel Sanders started his when he retired and discovered he couldn't live on his retirement check.
  • @travisoshea
Just came across your video and the point you made to your "push pull" over 20 years is describing myself to perfection. Now at the age of 41 and working on the reconnection of myself, as you framed it. Thank you for this video. Will follow and subscribe

Anyone feel like ppl look at you more in public when you have higher vibrations .. of course with this general population, ppl won’t say anything but there is an attraction
  • I’m 31 orbits around the sun but I feel like $1,000,000! I’m in my prime! lol a lotta people think 30s is horrible but it’s amazing to be alive. I’ve learned a lot from my 20s and I still have a long way to go until I’m elderly so I’m really just vibing 💖 thanks Clark ✨ I’m recovering from a stress induced health condition (EBV) and that kinda thing is full of pessimism in the conventional medical community that I’m so over. I’m a healthy person and trust my body. I also am grateful for the journey bc oddly enough getting sick pushed me closer to my dreams and away from what everyone else wanted me to do 🥰 I feel free and empowered to be myself!

Love you Clark. Your talk about the right age was very relevant to me, after having answered the call to adventure at age 46, leaving my comfort zone and a senior position in a top firm, moving to another country to start afresh, and questioning myself yesterday on it... happy to hear your affirmation and will now stick to your suggestions ..Thank you
