Monkie kid: The Best Lego Show You Haven't Watched...

Lmk is so good it destroys me how overlooked it is.

As a fan of animation, seeing the high quality work that Flying Bark has done with animating this show really drew me in. Came for the animation, stayed for the plot and characters. Overall, LMK is an amazing show and even got me interested in Chinese mythology too!

Sun wu kong did not simply switch sides he was literally bound to them and could not go back to the brotherhood for a while.

Hot Take: Monkie Kid has a higher level of quality than Ninjago (as in its more consistently good)

I love that this show was just my childhood (Journey to the West books) but in animated form, and a good one at that

My favorite part of the show is the fact that every single character is the best character, but red son is the best of the best

One of my FAAAVOURITE things about it (esp in s3+4) is sun wukong's effect on other people IM SOOO HYPED FOR S5 bc I think every account of swk wronging people in the past besides the samadhi fire incident was told from the other person's perspective, and with most of them (heavy on macaque and azure lion) being unreliable narrators I really hope we get to see wukong's side of those stories! Can't touch on all the things I like about this show so Im just choosing that thing :3 Good video

I believe Lady Bone Demon became one of my favorite Lego villains of all time (Teridax from Bionicle is still my absolute favorite though). The horror aesthetics of the character and the menace factor are just absolutely insane.

Such a good show If I had a nickel for every time I had a favorite piece of entertainment media that has its final scene with its best villain importantly involving the phrase "to (the) pain", then I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

My son absolutely loves MK, but it was a chore finding the last 2 seasons. I don't know what Lego is doing but they need to put this on a better streaming service.

The Lady Bone Damon is so so so good she is 1000% better than any Ninjago villain and the show actually has stakes you never know if a character might died unlike Ninjago where it’s really obvious nobody will ever die. I really wish that Monkie Kid was popular in the states I really hope it never becomes just a China exclusive thing.

Gawd, I love monkie kid sm!! I think ninjago has some competition

I love Monkie Kid it is like a Lego anime and it really is better than Ninjago in animation, animation style, and even characters if this was Ninjago characters like Mei would be so annoying because the ninjago writers for some really feel like they have to use one trope of a character. The colors in in the show are so vibrant and it is so good at doing the 11 minute episodes unlike ninjago. It’s also really good at giving the characters tromp MK being scared of spiders or becoming so powerful he forgets about his friends is a really good arc he is going through.

7:09 i see the point you tride to convey here but it is slightly off the show does look distinctly lego but it has a lot more life in it do to the shapes it can change more drastically

I mean if it was easier to watch the show I feel like more people would watch it.
