Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you enjoy😊

"We should ban this stage to save people's time" "To save people's time from what?" "From what I'm going to do if you don't ban this stage"

Incorrect. The longest game in Smash History is when I left my console on overnight to unlock Mewtwo.

honestly big respect to boom. Man saw the problem, warned everyone about it and then proceeded to demonstrate why exactly it was a problem when no one listened to him.

Bro learning the origin of Gerson Boom's name after all these years and it coming from a smash 64 set of all things feels like discovering the Rosetta Stone, incredible!

It's really crazy how the stage meta has changed through time. 64 had to choose the best of the worst yet now we have Ultimate and choose to play on about 3 of over 100 potential stages, ruling out perfectly decent stages because of silly things like 'there's a slight slant',

4:44 - ‘Pokefloats only. Pokeballs on very high’ - see, this guy gets it!
  • @Ridlay_
The fact that a TURTLE merchant references this is amazing. Genius.
  • @SSB_Seal
Glad you mentioned the Undertale fact about Gerson Boom. Another fun part of it is that in Deltarune it's revealed that his son's name is Alvin (after another Peruvian Smash 64 legend who was mentioned in this video). Always good to see you upload again.

Not all heroes wear capes, and not all presents have wrappings.

I’m a 64 player and you did an excellent job covering this saga, also the editing is really next level

I'm one of the ex-leaders of the Smashboards 64 backroom, and I wrote the first tournament ruleset removing Hyrule Castle from neutral picks (I'm in the video as asianaussie) boom's opinions on Hyrule date back for a long, long time and were widely regarded as extreme by Smashboards posters - I distinctly remember him saying Link goes from bottom 3 tierwise to top 3 on Hyrule because of how overwhelmingly powerful his circle camping is - for perspective, this is like saying there's a legal stage that puts Melee Kirby or Bowser into top tier His arguments about Hyrule were a big part of the english-speaking community moving to DL-only - they certainly convinced me

You are so real for the Brawl Taunts ending. Thanks for another epic video

Nobody will believe me but in Smash Bros Brawl online with a full free-for-all lobby of randos, I (playing as Samus) and another person (Playing as Zelda) had a two hour long sudden death on Temple. I stayed alive by just constantly ledge grabbing the upper rightmost ledge, and the Zelda survived by staying in that tunnel right at the center of the stage. The Zelda got hit by a few bombs but somehow never flew far enough to get KO'd, and she made her way back to the center. The game finally ended when a bomb dropped just a little too close to the ledge I was hanging onto, immediately KO'ing me. To this day I'm still amazed that nobody disconnected and ended the game instantly, the game didn't crash or the server didn't lose anybody's connection, etc.

Man, excellent polish on the editing. The way graphics don't just pop in but smoothly materialize and how each scene isn't a cut but instead a pan and tilt with accompanying swoosh sound - it all adds so much life. That zoom across key moments of the match at 11:58 was particularly slick and offered such a good impression of the length without needing to showing the whole thing. It's all so natural that it's easy to miss how much work would've gone into this. Really great work 👏
