  • FYI in answer to Ruth's question about Select Committee Chairs which got skipped over. The Speaker determines the number of Committees that each party will be allowed to Chair, in proportion to their Party strength in the House. Then a motion proposed by the big parties, and approved by the House, assigns each Committee to a certain Party. Then when the elections for Chairs takes place only members of that Party may run for each Chair position. The elections are run by secret ballots with a preferential voting system, so can't be strictly Whipped.

Yes. The world knows we are ready to be dumped on and won't do a thing to stop it.
  • what's wrong with the Rwanda scheme? should richer countries have more of a burden to help refugees? UN law and wider international law doesn't give us any such burden! the "burden" should be on the first available free country, not just choosing to be in Britain because it's richer.
  • Having seen the Leeds riots, I don't know how these reporters thought of doing a podcast on relationship with world.
  • These 3 are about as Exciting as watching Snow Melt, what they could do is Make up a Few Stories or even repeat the Cat up a tree in Timbuktu Fire Brigade Story

I think Emily can become a great addition, but she is clearly still in election-mode and repeating the party lines. Hopefully that will lessen over the coming weeks so the analysis can be a bit more objective again
  • @ReedoTV

  • @VictorMyBoy
Great show, BUT is Emily Thornbury saying that male MPs are not being harrassed? Cannot also feel fear? Why make this about female MPs and not all MPs?
  • @Iceman0505

  • It is indeed sad Emily isnt in the Cabinet...but I guess she is to outspoken for the cabinet

Lollllllllll give it 8 months . Forget the world , first focus on this country . Can he pedal the ship ( country) faster in the positive economic direction we were heading under Sunak and the Tories , or we going to get worse stagnate and start regressing back to a depressive state while we fill out pockets of migrants coming for economic gain ?
