The problem with all criminals is that they don't know when to stop or slow down. Counterfeiters could live comfortable their whole lifetime, but they want more so they print more and take risks, then they get caught. If you rob a bank and get away with millions, why do you need to rob another bank?

Amazing. I once tried to print money with my color scanner-printer in 2003 and the printer printed out a warning that stated; "It's illegal to print legal tender bills, please refer to blah blah website". I was shocked because my scanner was not connected to the internet, it was already pre-programmed to deter counterfiting.

Saw this guy years ago on American Greed. Quite a tragic life. Born in poverty, Father attempted to separate him and his siblings from their Mother. He did try to go straight a few times, he took the blame the time his own son began printing his own fake money.

Honestly if you figure out how to do this you deserve the money you print
  • When I was a kid I had friends that printed fake money. I went to the strip club and try to ask for change but when I pulled out the money It Glowed in the dark

Vice this is not enough we need a longer version. Thanks ❤️

I knew a counterfeiting guy. He traveled around a lot, pretended to be a pilot for Pan-Am, a lawyer and then a doctor. He was always running, the FBI chased him across the country for a long time.

That color changing paint was used on the Ford Mustang Cobra. My bro was working at a body shop and you had to jump through hoops when you ordered it and I believe they would ask for proof you owned a body shop and also the exact amount you need.
  • The key to end forgery is not just finding the printers, but equally important is the POS(point of sale) where checkers must check any bill $20 or higher. The problem is there are many forgers here as well as foreigners delighted to exploit us. Technology is advancing and many bills have watermarks, embedded metals, and other security factors. But, if no one checks, they cannot serve their purpose.

I have no knowledge of how he did what but most of these things usually involve someone close to the production process. The ordering paper from all around the world is a nice story and might be true but the sceptic in me says he had a head start through knowing someone close to the process or paying for information.

I read his book "The Art of Printing Money" (Get it? His name is "Art" and he prints money.) It was so easy to read because it was fascinating. I couldn't put it down. And no, he doesn't tell you everything you need to know how to counterfeit money.
  • @HeavyRollin
"The Art of Making Money" is a great book. Hits close to home growing up in Chicago and surrounded by the gangs mentioned in the book, back in the late 90s.
  • @mikematerne4579
In the 90s I ran across a bunch of $50 and never knew they were counterfeit until I saw a story in my area about them, seems that someone was "bleaching" ones and printing $50 on them. The only way you could tell was there were tiny spits where the ink bled through, and I mean tiny.

Problem with counterfiting nowadays is, cameras are everywhere. When someone passes a fake bill, the bank picks it up and then they call the Secret Service. The Secret Service comes to where the fake was passed and look at videos and they can see who passed the bogus bill.
