We are coming back to Namibia, having some challenges and struggles, but everything is worth it when you travel long-term, because it leads you to magical moments like the one we had in Etosha National Park.

We cross the Botswana- Namibia border in Dobe , the easiest border in Africa by far. We then realize we have an ant infestation in the car. We brought ants from the Okavango Delta! We continue towards Grootfontein and realize we have a puncture. We solve it quick at the parking lot, get some water at the petrol station and head towards Etosha.

Namibia is very fenced and it is difficult to find camp in the bush. We are forced to camp next to the road. But its just and small struggle as we are heading early towards Etosha NP.

The park is really open and wide and the highlight is absolutely the Etosha Pan, the biggest Salt Pan in Africa. It is so big that is visible from Space. We see a lot of animals. But to our surprise, we are able to see two black rhinos. One mother and her cub. This is one of the most critically endangered species and we cannot believe our luck when they come really close to us. All these small struggles are nothing compared to such a magical moment.

WE continue spotting animals in Etosha, from small wildebeest to hyenas. We decide to stop at a picnic to have some lunch. But very fast have to continue we need to cross the whole park fast before they close.

Once out, we camp near the gate and realize how dirty our car is, it doesn't look blue anymore. We decide to clean it in Opuwo and head to the desert. But more to that in the next episode!

Enjoy the Ride!
